Thank you so much. We were also still a little nervous right up until the final fit out. We absolutely love it. Not only the looks but it's now so much more practical ❤
G'day, absolutely love, love, love your channel. Am watching from Aussie Gold Coast, problem is you popped up on my feed 3hrs ago and I've been binge watching and I've got things to do!!!! lol Stephie .... your editing is top class, very professional.
41 degrees an wind blowing?! That's an oven, here, 35 and 90 percent humidity, you get steam cooked. Another fascinating views, incredible people and unexpected memories episode. ¡Pura Vida!
Unfortunately we are apart for this one as I'm away working and there is no alcohol allowed offshore. I will have to settle for Stephy having a champagne for me 🥂😜 Can't believe you remember that though ❤️
thank you so much for this new video, hereby alone in so wet country, I'm travelling a lot with you. discovering Namibie.
Well said, Lee: "getting older and wiser"! There are 3 important aspects of overlanding/off roading/4×4: caring about the safety of your vehicle, recovery gear and very important safety of you and your passengers! If you don't have to go through an obstacle, then go around it! The 3 rules of off roading: Safety, Safety, Safety! My wife and I have been watching your videos for the past +/-5 years - really enjoy it - well presented and also very informative. Keep going and enjoy your overlanding adventures! G&B looks amazing in this setting. The result after the rework of the car and the camper is amazing. Looks like someone actually put some thought into that...hope you guys are safe and having fun.
What a awesome area of rock formations . And great video of you both climbing again . Thanks for another wonderful video again you two . Africa and a Land Rover defender and the both of you are sure made for each other . Cheers from Steve Stott in Sutherlin Oregon U.S.A. :) :) 🌍🍻👍🏼😁
Super cool climb with the sunrise. As always, loving seeing parts of the world as I never would without your channel! SO hot though! Good call on 4 wheeling. It's not worth it especially not knowing if rescue could get to you. Safe travels always!
Si happy to see you doing great videos again, wow the temps are extremely over there stay hydrated please and I hope u feel better brother, good on ya Steph Vegemite and cheese toastie hellll yeahhhhh
Cross the border into something so different. Love that you are showing us the world. Very interesting and can’t believe how hot it is for you. Can’t wait to see the next episode. Love to you both ❤❤❤❤
I wish this episode had lasted a full hour! Just fantastic ! Thank you for sharing ! 👋 I have a question.... Can a mountain or a rock become so hot in the sun that you can no longer climb it?
Hi i am Daniel from Switzerland i drive since 15 years a Land Rover Disco Serie 2 (TD5) in the nothern part of africa. The Best country and desert was Algeria. Your video is very beautiful thanks Daniel
Looks like an amazing place! Although, they may want to change the name from "Nature park" to something more representative 😊. I love how, when they opened the grocery to get the key back, it shows the sign "Hot Food"😂 Hope the power gets fixed soon. Cheers🎉
Canyon you climbed in is called King's Throne Canyon. Interesting area around Aussenkehr. My son and I usually camp at Amanzi, stayed at Norotshama once. Enjoy, you will love Namibia. Take it you are carrying onto Aus and then definitely Luderitz !!
My wife and I have been there a few times and the resort you stayed at would have provided you with the key to the canyon gate. Best time to visit the canyon is dusk and dawn, the silhouettes are fantastic. Thank you for your content, happy travels.
We must be just a few weeks behind you. Did that same drive through the canyon and got to that gnarly place where we also backtracked but then went the long way around to the quiver tree for. You didn’t miss much 😁Also heading north. Hopefully we see you on the road somewhere @finsandvellies
What a fantastic find you pair, it looks amazing. Oh well once the sun got onto the rock face and you couldn’t climb anymore, it was a great opportunity to go for a run 😳 😂. Only been in over 50’s heat a few times but when you said it was like opening g the oven door I smiled as that was exactly how I explained it.
Sitting in my living room here in Japan, the last thing I expected was to see a miso dressing in the middle of a nature reserve in Namibia. It looked good and whilst the maple is not something normal for us, it was intriguing enough that I took two screen shots. One with the entire screen showing both the dressing and the recipe and the second of the recipe only. I shall be sharing this with my neighbours along with a link to the video of course!
We can and we do. I offer every time but Steph likes to use the big camera with the zoom for some of her shots. She says she can see the quality difference between the camera and drone.
@@GrizzlyNbearOverland Fair play to her, I would always go for the easy option 🙂 She certainly has an eye for a great shot and the skill to edit them all together ❤
Hi Leigh & Steffi, Not sure if you're aware, its illegal to fly drones in Nam and Bots without a permit or pilots license, definitely the former, not sure of the latter. Nam is strict but Bots is paranoid and Ive had locals in Bots report me to the police for the reward. Keep flying as we love the footage, just FYI :)
You guys need a little bicycle to run back and forth with the camera... ! Also... wise words: I always mention to friends, I am an overlander Not a hardcore rough rider!
Thank you guys for sharing your “ debuts” in Namibia ! The scenery is fabulous, like the “ rough” part of nature, rocks, heat , wind … I feel like i am out there with you ! take care !
How you guys travel inside the car with no aircon, I will never understand. I know I am soft but I would melt in no time and Fiona would never stop moaning. Amazing, we would just sit in the back with the aircon on.
Beautiful country hopefully iwil love to visit soon
🦋🍀 Greetings Frank. Wonderful Land. ❤
Am watching both of you for the first time. Thanks for sharing with us your journey
GrizzlyNBear looks great. I wasn't convinced in the beginning but now I think the result of the rework of the car and the camper look good together.
Thank you so much. We were also still a little nervous right up until the final fit out. We absolutely love it. Not only the looks but it's now so much more practical ❤
Enjoyed your video. My time in Namibia was incredible.

Love the Afrikaans Leigh! Namibia is just so so beautiful, enjoy every minute of it. It will only get more and more beautiful. It is just magic.

Great video guys and very wise to turn around. Some great experiences already in Namibia. I don’t know how you cope in that heat!

Fill up when you can, sometimes the remote stations are out of fuel.
Has happened to us a few times. Have a great time exploring Namibia.
Good job, fellas🎉

I have a question....
Can a mountain or a rock become so hot in the sun that you can no longer climb it?
Very helpful video guys. We will be there in 3 days!! Hope the key is still available.
I hope so... Someone said in the comments you can also ask for the key at the resort.
Hope it's a little cooler for you guys 😉
@@GrizzlyNbearOverland The resort didn't have there key...only available at The Spar...cheers

Yes that's the one. The climbing area was developed by a well known South African climber Tony Lourens.
My wife and I have been there a few times and the resort you stayed at would have provided you with the key to the canyon gate. Best time to visit the canyon is dusk and dawn, the silhouettes are fantastic. Thank you for your content, happy travels.

👍
If you're still in Namibia you HAVE to try their Oryx. Best meat in the world.
Next refit, get a Stinger Heigh 10 DAB radio with Apple Car Play incorporated fitted - I can really recommend it and gives you so much more
I know that you use the drone for those amazing aerial shots, but could you not also use it for the roadside shots and save Stephy's little legs ?
We can and we do. I offer every time but Steph likes to use the big camera with the zoom for some of her shots. She says she can see the quality difference between the camera and drone.

When will you have the Brazilian flag stick on your car ???? 😂 cheers bro!
My brother! Mate definitely that flag will one day be on the side of our truck 🇧🇷❤
Hope you're doing good my friend 😊

what of air con is that ?:) looks pretty handy :D
Can't imagine the refrigerated products in the Spar shop would last long with a power outage in that heat.
We were wondering the same thing and definitely didn't buy our meat from that shop 😜
Thank you guys for sharing your “ debuts” in Namibia ! The scenery is fabulous, like the “ rough” part of nature, rocks, heat , wind … I feel like i am out there with you ! take care !
The snake at 12:48 is a Black mamba, it's extremely venomous
On can see you weren't at the boy scouts!
How you guys travel inside the car with no aircon, I will never understand.
I know I am soft but I would melt in no time and Fiona would never stop moaning. Amazing, we would just sit in the back with the aircon on.
We do sometimes consider it haha
But hang on a minute surely your Series will not have mod cons like AC? 😜
It won’t even have a roof 😆
Long time didnt hv....
chalet = cottage lol ;)
I'm comfortable at 51F, about 11C.
Yes us also haha Actually that's the perfect temperature for climbing 10-15C 👌😊
I see my country flag White Green Red 🙂 Do you really visit my country?🙂
