Sounds ideal. But what about when the tree roots completely clog your outlet pipe and disable your entire system?
We have a Permaculture orchard planted in between our septic drain field lines. It works amazingly well. Plant trees and shrubs! 5 years strong, zero issues, spotless tank and Field. 27 fruit trees, 8 honey locust(nitrogen fixer), 40 fruiting shrubs and 100+ support perennials interplanted. Grow food!
Glad I found this video cause my trees are growing too fast near the septic tank was worried it will crack the septic but feel more relief
Pour copper sulfate crystals around the tank and water in to penetrate the soil outside the walls. This will kill the roots attempting to enter the tank. Aso pour copper sulfate crystals in tank to kill roots inside the tank.
Don't believe a word he's saying. Keep your trees 50ft away from the septic or you will be sorry. Maybe not in 5 yrs but eventually it will cost you dearly. His advice is exactly opposite of every expert. Sorry buddy I had to say something.
Thanks Sir.
I have very small area around my house in our village. Dept of the soil is not more than 2.5 meters. Below that ground is all limestone, white in color. My question is, is it recommended to dig further the limestone for a septic tank? What would be any likely future impact (good or bad)? thanks
Mmm…. this sounds like a horrible idea to me.
Haha same.
Try having a tree with very invasive roots like most pines or fruit trees have.
You ever seen a lemon tree grow abnormally fast.
Ya um all 500 feet of pipe was full and the tank itself was half full of roots it was dam weird looking.
This is the worst advice ever. Roots in your septic drain field will be the end of your drain field, especially if pine trees are growing there.
Not true. Tree roots suck up the liquid effluent and moisture.
