Thanks. I just watched your video on stopping the seatbelt chime. i am gonna try that also. I would like to replace the crappy front headlights on my TH but I am not comfortable taking my Jeep apart. I came from a car with xenon headlights so the TH lights are abysmal in comparison.

Did the install and tried the What Time is it test. While Siri works well on my iPhone 6 with IOS 9.3.2 when paired to uConnect the Siri questions take a long time to come back with an answer if any answer is returned. I observe on the phone the question is not displayed completely on the phone. I'm in my garage and I've tried it on Verizon LTE with two bars and with my home WIFI and same result. Looking at this video and others it seemed like a nice update since I have an iPhone but it's currently useless.
Sent and email to uConnect support regarding this issue.
Hopefully this doesn't end in a Apple vs FCA finger pointing with the customers in the middle.
Actually this happened when I first installed and wasn't great network connection in my garage. Try again after driving around for a while in a good network area.
I was finally able to take my Ram 2500 out today. Once away from the house the commands responded in a timely manner similar to your test.

Glad it was helpful! The 2015s have several backround theme options built in but you can't add your own.
I have a 2014 Ram 1500 Longhorn. Do you know if they have options? I haven't ever came across them when playing around.
Not sure since I have a Jeep but know the 2014 Jeeps did not have background options.

my 2015 Jeep grand Cherokee limited was on 15.17.5 and that's the latest version.
I just updated mine to 16.16.13

It's not all Uconnects folks. Only the second series and above. And depending on your model it can screw it up.
Tech Review by Irdi I tried to download this update for a 300 Chysler 2014. No update is available? I am trying to be patient but I need it. I spend a great deal of time in route so it would help e .I thought I had read the 2014 to present all would be able to update. Hopefully it will be soon. On the navigation or ? the dealership doesn't do the uconnect updates or add one.I do appreciate your help. Thsnks

Appreciate the info, the update went great. Any luck on getting a message to send? It dictates fine and normally, after a pause in speech, Siri will ask to send but it never prompts unless I tap the 'listening line' at the bottom of the screen? Just wondering if you've experienced the same.
+Jay Deaton (JDea10) When I first did the update there was a delay but believe it was because I was in my garage without good internet reception. Worked good the next day.

I believe this is a feature added in 2015. Several backgrounds to choose.
I have a 2014 300 and they have not come out with the update yet for my year model the last time I checked. I am very interested in this as they have passed new laws in Texas for using your phone and driving. Can you check into this for me? I also would like to add maps or navigation to my system. Thanks for any suggestions or help.

Hi. Can u help me. I did update and now I'm having problem with my Bluetooth and USB connection. Don't wanna play my music and call don't come thru the car speakers. Should I do a reset to the system? I have a 2014 grand cherokee limited

Hey, I tried doing this and all I keep getting is "files not supported" every time I pop the usb in. Any thoughts?
Try a different USB drive and reload file.

Make sure you press and hold the voice button to activate Siri. You can also try reinstalling update and repair phone to Uconnect.

how can I create my own routes using the Garmin uconnect if I don't want the route they give me for trip planner
You can set to avoid tolls, etc. Or you can set to avoid a certain road but takes time to do this. Best thing is head to route you want to take and let it recalculate as you drive.
Is that a default background image or do you have a way to customize those? I tried to peak into the update file and found some image files but editing the .iso renders it useless.
+instinktx206 The 2015s have several different background themes built in, but you can't add your own.
Yeah my 2015 200s has a few stock backgrounds built in. I've found a few of the images in the firmware update files (If you dig around the .iso file there in there, along with a bunch of random files for other car models) I just haven't found a way to successfully "swap" them yet.
You think these 2015's are gonna get updated to apple car play?
I don't think so because I believe it requires some hardware changes.

+Scott Cruse Make sure file is correct format. Also takes a while after you plug in for it to recognize USB.

Don’t think so. Has to be able to read drive as soon as it is plugged in.
I just replaced the Uconnect stereo in my 2017 Wrangler. In my opinion, Uconnect is garbage and the Stereo is the biggest hunk of shit I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Glad I’m rid of it.
They use a different radio than the 8.4”

I performed this on my 2014 Ram 2500, it took the update successfully and after the update the gps does did not work at first and now it is not showing the correct position of the vehicle. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Nick Hughson Hi Nick, I am having the same problem. The dealer updated my firmware at oil service and now GPS is showing wrong location. Did you ever find a solution?
Had this problem on another car--- the antenna was leaking at seal,, getting wet, replaced it. Worked.. Dumb mechanics could not figure it out,, be honest i do thing they even look, or they would have saw it leaking... shorted probably,, and i sealed it better. no more problem, one year later

+Tom Wiley Hold down the Voice button on steering wheel. Siri also has to be turned on in your phone settings.
Samsung Galaxy phone, uses Google, not Siri for voice apps. I read that it would still work, but apparently it does not, despite Android having the dominant market share.
