For affiliate club, or potentially like a theme I’d look at either Swansea or Newport (welsh theme) as the manager Garry Monk managed Swansea and played for them for 10 years, along with the CEO of Cambridge Alex Tunbridge previously worked at Newport. So I’d say make Swansea the affiliate club but definitely send a scout to Wales
One rule I always like to abide by is to have a full xi in the youth academy in the formation that one chooses to play to roleplay that there's an actual youth team playing in a youth league. This prevents someone to just have 7 really good wingers or AM's and such, and instead forces someone to make some hard choices. Of course one can put 16 players (I think), so you can have 5 extra players in there still
What about Swansea City as the affiliate? Has the Gary Monk link in with it as he was club captain and managed the team for years and Swans has a load of youth players in the save.
For the affiliate club i’d recommend Wolves - Similar colours to Cambridge with a good chunk of young players in the game who you can loan in Also a loan signing I’d recommend for long term plans Alex Murphy - LCB 64 Rated Newcastle
Nice ches, I’ve been watching you for years and years. Always enjoy the Cambridge saves. Congrats on the baby and look forward to watching you for years to come.
A Good loan option would be Sammy Braybrooke from Leicester. He's a CM, 63 overall and has only played in the PL2 this season in real life. Would be a good option if you'd want a little bit more quality on the ball in midfield.
Need to do a Derby County save! Clough taking us back to the glory days of 72 & 75. (I was there, you were still a twinkle!) Adding an edit after viewing: That's me! Your 18 year old free agent patron goalkeeper! Ha, I don't look too bad at all, though in real life I was 5'10" with ginger short back and sides hair, big ears that stuck out like the FA cup and lean build. But I could run! Fast and all day, still doing half marathons at aged 58! I played football but not as a keeper (though circa 1976 I saved a penalty at Peartree Juniors school, near the Baseball Ground. Taken by Leighton James of all people, God rest his soul). Two footed, with speed and good tackling, I was either right or left back or if I annoyed the Headmaster, then I played left out altogether. Certainly 55 rated, room to grow and I won't demand too much in wages! Derby fan, loved to have played for them.
I had to catch up with all your saves from this game. Started the Chelsea series whilst you were starting the Leeds one and I’ve now finally caught up with all of it now. I am so excited for this save
For the affiliate club I’d say use Everton because we only have 2 in real life being the Colombian Everton and Sligo rovers but we can’t really loan players to them an you’d be able to sign so great loan players like welch Warrington vigina
I think a North East London Cub would be appropriate for an affiliate club, so maybe Spurs or West Ham would be a good choice, as they are relatively local to Cambridge.
Can't wait for this very realistic career mode. Keep up the good videos Ches. So much effort has been put into this and the quality of the career mode will definitely show 🎉
For more realism I think the injury frequency and severity need increasing. Otherwise you’ll go the full season without any real injury issues which defeats the point of the series.
Ches, when it comes to signing players, I don’t you should sign anyone with a higher potential than the current highest at Cambridge. For example, the best player you could possibly sign is 66 overall with 75 potential (same as Liam Bennett). This is how I do my realistic saves and makes it a better experience
Love this series Ches - love the amount of detail you’re going into. I think that to limit the youth potential to the highest you have is unrealistic. I agree that the 94 potential players are generally a bit out there for this type of save but I think maybe something like a highest current player plus 10% could be more realistic?
Love the save but I’m going to be honest, there’s three things I think should be changed. One, coaches. Only sign a coach equal or lower than the star rating of the club. This’ll slow growth still, but it’ll also force you to be smart with the money you do have. Second, the youth academy. Always scouting the home country with one scout, and applying the same star rule for scout ability. Lastly, I think that the if you just signed a player that season, you are not allowed to sell them until either the next season or the next window, no matter what. For example, if you land Ted Bishop this season in the January window, you can’t sell or loan him out until the summer window. A full season, if you decide to do that, would mean you can’t have him leave until the next January window at minimum.
Id recommend the affilate club being a larger club nearby, so for the younger players getting sent out on loan to cambridge it isnt a culture or huge location switch for them, for example some clubs could be, Norwich (always had a great youth system), Luton (A club which are always looking into the lower leagues for players) and Leicester (also a brilliant youth system)
For an affiliate club I would recommend a club like spurs as of the number of players they loan out to lower league club. For signings I would recommend for a backup gk is David Harrington who is 57 rated so he will be a similar player you sold to mk dons For a cm I would recommend is Jordan Brown who is 64 rated from Leyton orient
Ipswich have been sort of an affiliate in the past, along with Norwich. There have been a few London based players come to Cambridge over the past, so maybe a London Premier league club
What about Sheffield United for an Affiliate Club, they are higher championship club and has alot of talent to loan out 1. Sign (LB) James Morris of Watford: He's 22 and a Pacey Wingback. 2. I think we could do with a permanent younger ST: Antwoine Hackford from Sheffield United, 19 and pacey.
For an affiliate, local wise could be worth maybe Tottenham or West Ham? Alternatively with a local club and a personal one would be cool to have Chelsea considering they were the first save on the game
I believe in each leagues regulations it is required that a team should be having 3 goalkeepers on their team sheet. So, for realism's sake, you should buy a 3rd goalkeeper. Not a starter in my opinion. Stick with Stevens fir at least a season and see how he progresses. As for the affiliate club due to Cambridge being close to the big London boys, try and find an affiliate in that area. Obviously Chelsea and Tottenham have a big pool of players for you to choose from, but maybe a Fulham wouldn't be that bad of a shout. Slightly more realistic you might say. Thus far, this series "has the potential to be special". 😛 Great first episode Ches, keep it up. 🫡
Loan in Harvey Griffiths from Wolves, he's a solid centre back when switched to there from CDM. He would be a solid extra option if you decide to sell Jibril Okedina for realism sake
For affiliate club a London club would make sense being them being closest to Cambridge. Tottenham sounds like the best bet they have a good selection of youngsters.
Please make in depth video of the spreadsheet i want to use this also in the first season don't sign or sell anyone but maybe loan out youngsters which you could say are playing in the academy team
Question how do you find all the minute details like who’s renewed a contract for how long and who’s been let go all that stuff I can’t find any of that in like a collection unless you spent a while just researching
72 shot error on CPU seems very heavily in your favour. Affiliated teams: Ipswich or Norwich. Sign/Loan Alex Murphy from Newcastle. Joseph Vegas is a ST.
Closest prem club to Cambridge I saw is luton and it’s still far away I don’t know whether that’s a great senior affiliate or not I thought distance made the most sense
This is probably going to be my favourite FIFA career mode ever. Interesting club/starting point? Check. A lot of realism? Check. Probably entertaining? Check.
Reading and Wigan irl this season just gone had points deductions, i'll be giving them the points deductions in this save too. Because of how the game is coded however, i have to wait for them to have gained more points than i'm going to deduct, otherwise it breaks the game
I think you should do a senior club with Swansea for the likes off Gary monk used to play for them and manage them aswell if your making it realistic you shouldn't really go for a top flight club for senior club
Great game save. Whilst you're in lower leages instead of signing no foreign players why not limit yourself to 1 foreign player per season but they have to come from a domestic club? I.e you can sign a player of German nationally but they have to be brought from a club in England, Scotland, Wales or Ireland?
Ches it might not be the most realistic but maybe sign some heores persay from the fifa 20 rtg save, Adeboyejo, Roles, Knibbs?, if its realistic it'd be great to see them back
Thank you for all the love on the video! Spreadsheet download link is available in the description! 💛
Will u be doing custom kits
U should change one of the cdm positions into cm
Would the save get new kits as the seasons go by?
Link to parteron?
For affiliate club, or potentially like a theme I’d look at either Swansea or Newport (welsh theme) as the manager Garry Monk managed Swansea and played for them for 10 years, along with the CEO of Cambridge Alex Tunbridge previously worked at Newport. I second this. The Swans for now

Of course one can put 16 players (I think), so you can have 5 extra players in there still
All I ever seem to get are wingers and fullbacks who for some reason are spawned at centerback even tho they are 5’8😂
What about Swansea City as the affiliate? Has the Gary Monk link in with it as he was club captain and managed the team for years and Swans has a load of youth players in the save.
For the affiliate club i’d recommend Wolves - Similar colours to Cambridge with a good chunk of young players in the game who you can loan in
Also a loan signing I’d recommend for long term plans
Alex Murphy - LCB 64 Rated Newcastle
He has his contract expiring after the first season normally so would be tough to loan in
@@liamrodwellyeah maybe ches can edit that using the live editor as in real life he signed a long term deal
As a newcastle Fan, Alex Murphy is a brilliant shout for a loan, i'd go as far as to even say Joe White aswell.
This series is going to be amazing
Nice ches, I’ve been watching you for years and years. Always enjoy the Cambridge saves. Congrats on the baby and look forward to watching you for years to come.
Suggestions for GK:
-Lawrence Vigouroux (loan)
-Ashby Hammond
-Bilokapic (Loan)
-Boyce-Clarke
-Tom McGill (Loan)
-Jordan Archer (Buy, also think he’s been released by QRP IRL)
-Luke Southwood
A Good loan option would be Sammy Braybrooke from Leicester. He's a CM, 63 overall and has only played in the PL2 this season in real life. Would be a good option if you'd want a little bit more quality on the ball in midfield.
Norwich City be affiliate club based on geographical location
Need to do a Derby County save! Clough taking us back to the glory days of 72 & 75.
(I was there, you were still a twinkle!)
Adding an edit after viewing: That's me! Your 18 year old free agent patron goalkeeper!

Derby fan, loved to have played for them.
Great first opening episode of your Realistic Cambridge United RTG save Ches, very informative but entertaining as well
I had to catch up with all your saves from this game. Started the Chelsea series whilst you were starting the Leeds one and I’ve now finally caught up with all of it now. I am so excited for this save
Brilliant video, look forward to the Cambs series every year. Love the realism as well!!
Adding your patrons is such a good idea
For the affiliate club I’d say use Everton because we only have 2 in real life being the Colombian Everton and Sligo rovers but we can’t really loan players to them an you’d be able to sign so great loan players like welch Warrington vigina
Been waiting for this for over a week!! Let’s go Ches 👌🏻
YESSSSS! A Cambridge RTG!!! bringing it back to the 2018-2021 vibes
3:30 you listed all the features that should be solved by EA, thanks
I think a North East London Cub would be appropriate for an affiliate club, so maybe Spurs or West Ham would be a good choice, as they are relatively local to Cambridge.
Can't wait for this very realistic career mode. Keep up the good videos Ches. So much effort has been put into this and the quality of the career mode will definitely show 🎉
Love the ideas for the rules! It would sure be nice if the developers of the actual game would try to implement some of these.
Ches I love this idea so much, you're the only career mode RUclipsr I can bear because of your realism.
For more realism I think the injury frequency and severity need increasing. Otherwise you’ll go the full season without any real injury issues which defeats the point of the series.

What a great save idea, so interesting.

As a financial analyst by trade, safe to say this is the most excited I’ve been for a CM in a loooooong time. Well done Ches!
Dominating spreadsheets and dominating the football league - I am excited about this Ches!
Finally good EAFC24 content
Great video! I love the spreadsheet management, so unique at least from what I've seen! Where can we see the sliders that you've set up?
What’s your camera settings Ches?
Crystal Palace or West Ham would be good affiliate clubs 👍🏻
The quality of your tone and cadence really is attractive for viewers
Great effort regarding keeping it realistic! Can't wait for more. Have you thought about streaming some football manager?
I’ve been streaming FM for years, the edited highlights go up on my second channel 🙂
38:21 4 star 4 star keeper. 😂😂
For an affiliate club I would recommend a club like spurs as of the number of players they loan out to lower league club.

fan of realistic careers and generally like your stuff but not normally too realistic so im very excited for this
Loving the realism!
Honestly, I can't wait for this series
Loving this, Ryan Bennett and Monk both ex Swansea players and I’m from Swansea
One save i would like to see you do on FC 25 is a Bromley FC RTG as Bromley have just been Premoted to League 2 for the First time in their history
Ipswich have been sort of an affiliate in the past, along with Norwich. There have been a few London based players come to Cambridge over the past, so maybe a London Premier league club
What about Sheffield United for an Affiliate Club, they are higher championship club and has alot of talent to loan out

Alternatively with a local club and a personal one would be cool to have Chelsea considering they were the first save on the game
Make sure you connect a secondary controller and make the teams play with their highest lineup
I believe in each leagues regulations it is required that a team should be having 3 goalkeepers on their team sheet. So, for realism's sake, you should buy a 3rd goalkeeper. Not a starter in my opinion. Stick with Stevens fir at least a season and see how he progresses. Great first episode Ches, keep it up. 🫡
Chez. Make sure to pay way more extra for transfers in this mode. It’s way too easy to make money in career
mode
Missed you, man! Hope all is well with your family. Cheers and all the best.
How can you control rating growth? You mentioned allowing players to grow?
Loan in Harvey Griffiths from Wolves, he's a solid centre back when switched to there from CDM. He would be a solid extra option if you decide to sell Jibril Okedina for realism sake
Buzzing for this rtg , it's my favourite one you do , COYU'S ! 🥥
Oooooo baby, here we go! 🧡
For affiliate club a London club would make sense being them being closest to Cambridge. Tottenham sounds like the best bet they have a good selection of youngsters.
Great start ches and would u sign anyone who free in real life ?
Will you be changing each opposition’s lineup to their best in rating in a match that isn’t a friendly competition?
I haven’t watched you in a. Long long time. I love this idea bro
Please make in depth video of the spreadsheet i want to use this also in the first season don't sign or sell anyone but maybe loan out youngsters which you could say are playing in the academy team

Affiliated teams: Ipswich or Norwich.
Sign/Loan Alex Murphy from Newcastle.
Joseph Vegas is a ST.
they shoot like they have timed finishing turned on tho
Ah yes, Chesnoid, that’s a name I haven’t heard in awhile ❤
Cannot wait for this
I didn't know Garry Monk was in charge at Cambridge... as a Swansea fan I'm always happy to he him manage. How is he doing for them?
love this career mode already
This is absolutely brilliant
Closest prem club to Cambridge I saw is luton and it’s still far away I don’t know whether that’s a great senior affiliate or not I thought distance made the most sense
This is probably going to be my favourite FIFA career mode ever.
Interesting club/starting point? Check.
A lot of realism? Check.
Probably entertaining? Check.
I’d love a video on how live editor works and how to add player mini faces
Ipswich town as the affiliate club. Look to sign a striker as you don't have any that are going to stay 👍
Great amount of work to set this up , well done Ches and let`s goooo
just a thought, if a player has a bad season you could give them a -1 or if they have a good season then they get a +1 for the next season
Sign Jack Hinselwood from Brighton, he would be the perfect RTG signing!
It’s a realistic career mate
Ryan Bennett aka Legend of mine Career Mode with Brighton on FIFA 15
to make it more realistic you should purposefully get battered by the posh every time you play x
Booooooo
Where can I find the retaine lost from Cambridge united
For youth academy I use 1 star scouts for league two 2 star for league one 3 star for championship and 4-5 for prem
That’s what I’m doing 🙂
Ches dropped, I'm alive again!
If you need a young CB, 17 yr old Nelson Sanca from newport is a great choice, Nice vid BTW
I recommend a player by the name off Miguel Di Pizio. 55 rated but with a potential in the 70s
Ain’t nobody, like Kachunga. Town legend 💙⚪️
What’s your thoughts on the new Fifa2K game ?
Huddersfield is good artistically#
What's the teal number in the bottom of your box
Definitely need another RM and LM
what did you mean with the reading an wigan part?
also try too buy or loan a 60+/- rated gk too be the back up
Reading and Wigan irl this season just gone had points deductions, i'll be giving them the points deductions in this save too. Because of how the game is coded however, i have to wait for them to have gained more points than i'm going to deduct, otherwise it breaks the game

This will be great!
ready to get attached to Vegas only for him to go to a big club 🥺
For affiliate club, I'd suggest Watford, Luton or Brentford
Cameron humphreys from Ipswich could be a good loan at cm
Bring on Dan Kemp, he is very good and his contract has ended in real life so he’ll be a good addition to Cambridge
Swansea would be a realistic choice for the senior affiliate club given Gary Monk’s links to the club
For an affiliate club why not Norwich?? Also I think given the fact he's just been released a Luke Berry return would be brilliant!!
you should have a look at buying in patrick jones from huddersfield where he starts class youngest only 21
Bloody love this man
Cambridge back, I’m back!
