Apay’uq Moore discussed her artistic evolution, from early mural work to her current focus on Indigenous rights and community empowerment. She shared her experiences living in an off-grid cabin with her children, detailing the challenges of managing power and heat while maintaining a positive environment. Apay’uq also spoke about her journey in writing and self-publishing a children's book, inspired by her children and her technical challenges.
Earlier in the month on Nov. 8th, there was a storytelling of ‘Quyana Spirit’ at the museum for children and their families. These two events are to celebrate Native American Heritage Month.
