I can't help but feel like he references the people who tend to look at his more poetic lines/words/phrases as "him just saying words" or "him talking without thinking and not making any sense" which for me adds yet another layer of amazement at those lyrics!
'here but not around' suggests that recreating yourself to fit into the 'everyone' is something only surface layer, being apart of that 'everyone' is only 'here', not something rounded within you, hence the 'around'. Golden hour라는 노래가 너무 좋은 게 마크는 독보적인 캐릭터인데 그 독보적인 느낌이 노래에 그대로 살아있어서 좋음 곡 구성도 기성곡들의 문법을 그대로 따라가지 않은 부분이 맘에 들고 베이스로 깔리는 둔탁한 드럼과 찰진 일렉기타 소리가 흥겨워서 좋음. 또 가사 얘기를 안 할 수 없는데 Golden 과 Gordon으로 라임을 맞춘 것부터가 재치있고 고든램지가 갑자기 나온 게 아니라 본인이 만든 망한 계란후라이 사진때문에 촉발된 사건이 여기까지 왔다는 것도 재미있음. 사연을 아는 사람들이면 더 좋아할 수밖에 없음. 마크는 본인을 래퍼라고 부르면 부끄러워하는데 나는 약간의 허세가 묻어있는 래퍼다운 감성이 마크 매력인 것 같음 워낙 잘 하니까 전반적인 퀄리티가 올라가는 것도 좋고 뮤직비디오도 노래 느낌 살리게 엄청 잘 만들었다 생각함! 이 비디오 자체가 명작임
전작인 Child는 마크가 이런 걸 들고 나올 줄 몰라서 의외였고 또 진솔한 가사와 짙은 감성이 매력적이었지만 역시 아티스트로서의 캐릭터가 잘 사는 건 Golden hour라고 생각함 그리고 역시나 좋은 건 두 곡 다 진부한 느낌이 전혀 없었다는 거. 에스엠이 내보낸 아티스트 마크는 조금 지루해져가는 에스엠 속에서 혼자 날 서있는 게임체인져라고 생각함

this literally slaps so hard. never heard a kpop artist release music of this genre, and im absolutely loving it, mark's creativity is really off the charts. as a previous english student, his ability to find inspiration from the smallest things, give it meaning and compose a whole song around it, with lyrics that make sense too, is super super admirable and impressive. a super creative release.. and always mark lee tops with his rap flow and production. an amazing listen, from the music to the visuals.

I can't help but feel like he references the people who tend to look at his more poetic lines/words/phrases as "him just saying words" or "him talking without thinking and not making any sense" which for me adds yet another layer of amazement at those lyrics!

The 'you' that is being taken away is what is truly rounded, deep-rooted, transcending the barrier between appearance and self.
