    Thank you so much for posting not only your successes but your struggles too. It’s so important for young gymnasts to see that everyone has off days on some events and that’s totally normal! Can’t wait to show my 8 year old this one

    You do not get enough credit for how talented of a gymnast you are while being the height you are! It is so incredibly hard, you are not on the same playing field as the others, I know from personal experience, though youre so much more successful than I ever was. I was nearly 5’8” my freshman year of high school trying to go level 10 and the physics just wouldn’t allow for it. I couldn’t be powerful no matter how hard I tried, I could barely swing bars anymore because of how much I had to pike down, all releases were nearly impossible at that point. You are so darn amazing!!

    Girl, I can’t believe you’ve held it together for this long, under tremendous pressure. It doesn’t change the fact that you are talented in many areas. These rough times ,find the good in it.

    Whitney!! I watched One In A Million yesterday, it was amazing! Your Dad is right, your fans love you for you, quirks and all. The part about you not being able to live up to the version of you that you show us broke my heart! The real you is the most beautiful, you have nothing to apologize for and have not let anyone down. I’m bummed that I don’t get to see you compete for Alabama but you never need to apologize or feel bad for living your dreams. Thank you for this mini series, nothing to be embarrassed about! You’re incredibly talented but we all know the hell you’ve been through with your elbow and growth spurts. Your perseverance is admirable. Wishing you the best in all you do, I will continue to watch your journey if you still want to share. Oh and you have really become quite the lyricist! Older brought me to tears in the movie. 💜💜
    Oh and your beam routine was GORGEOUS and I love your floor routine this year with the music we got to hear last time!

    Love the video Whit. I almost forgot it was a gymnastics meet video to begin with, and thought you'd gone back to vlogging. 🤣🤣 Can't wait to see the next episodes. So sorry things didn't work out for you in this meet. There was still a lot of amazing gymnastics work on display though, despite the errors. It must've been a very difficult season as you already knew you were retiring at the end. Still so very very proud of you though Whitney. As for the uneven bars, I would've thought there was a standard set-up that all gyms and competitions use, just with adjustment for the individual gymnasts for their size. You have enough disadvantage because of your height without any additional difficulties. So unfair. But you don't have to worry about that anymore do you? Finally Whitney. If I can give you some advice, don't worry or care about what anyone may be saying about you behind your back. If they can't say it to your face, it carries NO validity. As a singer-songwriter I know sang in her song "Bully", "No matter what you do God loves us the same. People will often be nasty. But they're just a bully". They're jealous of you. Not your problem. 😁😁Hope your well Whitney and enjoying your summer break. So nice to see you back on RUclips. 🙌😁😃😉👍👏💙

    I totally understand how the bounce of the bars makes all the difference. It used to drive me crazy when bars were too bouncy at meets because I did Maloneys at a slow toe handstand is a nightmare, but then if they were too stiff I got no bounce and could barely get off the bar. Those bars also looked incredibly bouncy so much so you can visibly see them going up and down.

    You definitely made the right choice to not finish bars. Safety comes first. Sorry that happened the way it did. We're our own harshest critic, though - your beam was good, even if not your best (you don't have to do your best every time!), and I thought your vault looked like a pretty typical performance. Floor and bars were just a fluke, I'm sure. At any rate, touring Las Vegas looked so fun!

You are held to some super high standard but now the younger gymnasts see that everyone has bad days, bad meets, etc. You make mistakes and you're human. • @misss3480
    @misss3480 Год назад

    Everybody has the occasional off-day, Whitney - don't let that one, slightly less than perfect experience knock your confidence. The bars thing is very frustrating though. You would think that some engineer would have worked out a way to make them adjustable for gymnasts of different heights by now. And there must be a way to ensure the consistency of tension, too. You're clearly at a disadvantage if you're having to pike more to avoid hitting your feet. Anyway, you still looked so elegant and beautiful on the other three pieces of apparatus. I think you made the right decision to finish your bars routine when you did - your head wasn't in the right place, and much better to stay safe. I really can't believe anyone would 'glare' at you or 'hate' you. They were probably just very excited to see you - and that can make people nervous. You're a lovely person. Stay strong. X

I didn’t dared anything, until they put in lower on woman’s height. I also know what you mean if the bar is close to each other. I’m 176 cm, but when it’s on the furthest stand, it’s still close.

    Whitney, I guess the girls were whispering about you years ago, too. You are well known, that creates envy. And people are just like that. We all have to deal with people talking about us behind our backs. That's unpleasant but one has to learn to accept that. Being very self-conscious at your last meets increased this feeling of uneasiness. And as soe has said here - of course some others will be happy that you made mistakes or were less than perfect. That gives them a comforting feeling of being better (at that particular meet at bars).
    Think of all the people that hold you in very high regard and even love you. And then go on doing what you like to do. 😊

    I think toure a tad hard on yourself, Whit 😜. Ending your bars early was the SMART decision - if you'd kept going you might have hurt yourself, so it was super smart I think. Your beam was GREAT, tou got SECONF, right??! I didn't notice half the stuff you say you did wrong on floor -sure, judges probably saw the mistakes, but to the majority of us, it was a great routine, way above what 99% of us could ever do. Same with your vault 🥰.

    Good video on Las Vegas Fun. Meet not included in that fun. You may want to work with the USA Gymnastics officials about meet technical specs as those bars look under setup to me.

      Definitely too flexible. I know bars should give a little, but that was too much bounce.
