      Allegedly Maxwell Adams approached Voltaire explaining he had a show that he wanted Voltaire to write a song for
      And Voltaire didn't believe him because others have tried to get songs written this way
      So Voltaire told him if he really had a show he'd write a song for it

    • @necronlordoflawtan
      @necronlordoflawtan 9 лет назад +1

      +EightyPie9 That is a misconception. Most witch hunts were more to blame on things that you see in daily bullying and abuse cases nowadays. When not, you can say that "If little 5 year old Emily was seen talking to a slave like a friend, or was too friendly with Rosie, she'd be beat within an inch of her life...if she didn't claim the slave/Rosie enchanted her to act "immorally."
      Most of the time, when we lost "science" it was more "technology that worked, but the theories behind why it worked were pseudoscience." That, and much of what you may attribute as "lost" didn't come about at all until much later. In recreating such things, Natural Philosophy (science) grew. (Our wealth of knowledge is like an exponential formula in the past 900 years.)

  • @heathercalun4919

    I want to include this in my screenplay, but I don't have a use for it besides "Cute toddler with facepaint in a pumpkin patch. O no creepy cultists watching from the distance!" And that's way too corny for what I'm going for, so it needs like 5 more rewrites. The looming threat needs to feel credible and like it actually has teeth. Somebody made a valid point that with the style I'm trying to emulate... there are never perfect peaceful moments.
    "You can have the love interest, but you've got no money. You can get the money... but now your brother's dead. You can buy the house... but now the girl's left. Ok the girl's back now... but now you're in jail. The girl busts you out of jail... but the country's going to hell in a handbasket and joining that church was a bad idea. Maybe you should have just stayed in bed" It's supposedly the fault of the characters, that their own bad life choices keep biting them in the ass. But I dunno man, Father Time can just be kind of ruthless like that, even when you're theoretically doing everything right.
    I know none of you actually care. I just like thinking out loud.

      @@willieearles3151 More a comment on the trump voters who declared war on america, and tried to stage an attack against the white house. It was a short lived conflict though. Mostly owing to the fact that the US is a global superpower with nuclear capability, and trump's voter base is less than half of the nation's voting population. Outnumbered, outgunned, outmanned, outplanned. They fought for the capital and got stomped into the dirt.

    I went to Sawgrass Mills yesterday (it was my first visit to Miami Beach). I found an Hot Topic store. The first thing that happened to me when I saw that, was that I started to sing this song.
    I was about to ask the employee if they were proud because Voltaire said the name of the store in one of his songs, but I didn't.
    Now I have a Hot Topic bag and I can't take this song off my head.
    Voltaire, you rock.

    Well, some claims, that if your only sin is "worshipping the Devil", but otherwise you didn't do anything, what would go against the teachings of the Bible, you would still go to Hell, but otherwise no punishment would befall on your soul. Your soul would only get to the place, where your most favored figure is... Which isn't a really good place for the demons itself, but you wouldn't get the torture, what the more serious sinners had to endure. By this perspective, the mentioned souls would be favored by the Devil, taking they get to be in Hell, as they denounced god, and fall in line behind Lucifer - but as they had no "sins" they are pretty much should be go unpunished. They are more or less souls, who should go to Heaven, yet willingly go to Hell, without deserving that with any other deeds, than saying "no" to that offer. This kind of soul by the way extremely rare, as most souls, who dedicated to good cannot live their lives through without sins, it's even more hard, when they accept the father of lies as their role model... But if it's a success, they would have a fun time in Hell (aside from the minor inconviniences, like the extreme heat and constant screams from the tortured souls).

      This song is pretty tame actually. It's more like "satanic music for your grandma" tame. Dont get me wrong. It's a great song and everything, but if you wanted to get into some shit. An acoustic version of a cannibal corpse song, Brother lynch, or even Marilyn Manson would be easier to get a reaction from.

      Of course, after all, God detests non-fish seafood, according to Leviticus, and anything that does not belong to God belongs to the Devil, according to CS Lewis. Ergo, Hell, by process of elimination of not being in Heaven, must have clam chowder, lobster rolls, and crab legs.
