There is something going on in my head while I always listen to this song, and even more so when I watch this video. The Music is really good, Veela nailed the vocal and Warriyo did it again! But the message of the song is what I find the greatest whenever I hear this song... The lyrics speaks towards the people who are always worried and fearful for what's to come (Anxiety?), for those who always tends to overwork themselves from something (Stress?), People who can't find any more hope or joy in this world (Depression?).
But the Video gives me a different vibe, even if I had the first perspective or vision, this was the second. The scenery is beautiful and the transition is something I overthink of... We see a mere human standing on a hill, sightseeing or observing the larger lands, mountains, in which he seems to be both astonished or anxious about it as if he or she was in a state of two emotions simultaneously... Then we get to 2:09, where his entire surroundings begins to blur and soon... As if all that built up tension, expectation, and excitement just collapsed as the human soon starts to be obliterated. Was he controlling this world? Was he living this universe? At 3:05, Reality took over its Fantasy. The human wasn't controlling everything, He was not even living the world as he envisioned... It was the world who was living AT him. The shift at 3:11 made me imply that One Human should first start to focus on themselves instead of the rest of the world... Would this be called selfishness? No. This is merely a sign that you should not tend to undergo overhours just to meet expectations, just to feed your excitement, just to support your worries. You should start living life the way YOU want and SHOULD. Not live life based on what THE WORLD thinks you should do. Otherwise, that world you live in will soon consume you util you can no longer go back to your own self since you now became a part of something that you thought was beautiful...
If you are troubled, Talk to someone... Don't overwork yourself over nothing. If you can't do it, then don't do it... If you HAVE to do it, think deeply if it's right. "Overhours" By Warriyo and Veela changed my perspective in life so much since the day it was released and I never stopped listening to it even for the thousandth time. Sometimes, when you think people can't give you the answers you seek... You just have to wait for THAT music to show you what you need to realize...
Thanks to Warriyo and Veela for giving me a solid four minute and twenty-two seconds to make me realize these things that I tend to forget...
