Those two always remind me of Hinata Shoyo and Kageyama Tobio in Haikyuu series they both have the same combo. Both Ace and Deuce are the prefect combo in every chapter.
Ace has been my type since I was little. Cool, a bit mean but actually a nice guy, the friend (boyfriend) that will always have your back. I fell for him even harder during the Ghost Marriage event (don't we all??? like he's so cool???). Honestly he fits the usual male lead in shoujo mangas that I've read when I was little. Then there's Deuce. He looks like the cool beauty type, usually the opposite of the male lead of shoujo mangas but actually is the same dumbass as Ace (actually even dumber but he's trying!). It's funny when reading the game stories and Deuce is like the heroine of the story. Clumsy (cute), naive (cute), damsel in distress (hiding in the cauldron so cute!) and plus with the Wishing Stars event that literally have him look like a princess (damn that back view, too sexy!). I'm torn between simping Ace (crush), Deuce (cute son) and shipping Ace X Deuce (fave CP trope). Damn Yana Tobaso for turning into this mess!
It is actually implied that his father either died when he was young or abandoned them when he was a kid. And that he became a delinquent to make up for the lack of a paternal figure in his life It’s actually very common for kids who grew up without a father, although it could be a mother as well, to become troublemaking kids or bullies as a defense mechanism for that lack of paternal stability in their lives, both in media and in real life Just look at characters like Milo in Lilo and Stitch, Jim Hopkins in Treasure Planet, or Sid on Toy Story, other protagonists from other Disney projects They all became some sort of bully, delinquent, or troublemaking kid because of their dad’s negligence/abuse/death/abandonment over them I wouldn’t be surprised that they also took that route with Deuce, even if it’s implied
