And I feel like once you do get the vasic algebraic and geometry skills down, then the core concepts of calculus can be focused on and come to life and then you gain passion, because you realize you CAN do it abd yku just need to keep going. @@randallmcgrath9345 Having gone through all the calcs, diff equ, linear alg, and a bunch of math engineering courses, I can say with certainty that every problem is like 90% algebra.
I recommend reading the bible to people from all walks of life. The rich, the poor, the spirited and the broken-spirited. The word will be your guide, strength, and peace. Thank you very much for inspiring me to take a chance at electrical engineering, it is through god's grace that I found your content and I am very grateful.
I’ve read Deep Work, How to Win Friends and Influence People, and Six Easy Pieces. I agree that they are all great books, deep work really gave me a passion to pursue focus. I also recommend Jordan Petersons 12 Rules for Life and the sequel, they really taught me a lot and helped me get started with moving my life forward. A couple quotes that really stuck with me: “What is one thing you could do today, that you WOULD do, that would make tomorrow a little better or easier?” And “Imagine the best possible version of yourself. Now take aim at that person and strive to be that person all the time” - might not be 100% word for word but that’s the jist of it.
I also really liked The Innovators by Walter Isaacson and A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson. I read The Innovators a year before college and it really motivated me to study Computer Engineering.
Two great Books to read are: 'The Codebreakers' By David Khan, and, 'Applied Cryptography: Protocols, Algorithms and Source Code in C', by Bruce Schneier.
This is a solid list. I have read two of them but it has been awhile. I should re read them n get the others. I want to resume grad studies in ChemE but I work as n Industrial Automation engineer so ur book might be helpful.
Hey Ali!! Great recommendations. Even in the bad times, I always think like it could be way worse. Gratitude will take you wherever you want to go. I’ve also been recently watching videos made by monks whether it be about discipline or just general life advice. They also help if you are in need of some guidance. I also recently went to a virtual leadership event. It was amazing! I definitely recommend reading books about leadership bc that is vital in engineering! Keep up the great work!
Yes Marco I absolutely agree, that’s kind of the beautiful thing on RUclips is you have access to easily digestible material that can lift you up on bad days. Do you know the name of the virtual leadership event? Was it free?
@@alithedazzling True! It was a presentation by Damon Williams paid through a club through my university. He is a great presenter and motivational speaker. His main message was about chasing the impact, not the money. Greatness will follow. He also has some vids on RUclips.
@@alithedazzling the mindset shift has been amazing. I liked that for example it's not about failing fast but about learning faster from failure, and argument I liked was about reframing questions. According to the book, sometimes we don't find answers/solutions to problems because we are asking the wrong questions. Among many more. Just finished it and it was great!
@@alithedazzling I just downloaded your book and will probably add six easy pieces to get myself hyped for physics haha. I own the book "win friends and influence people" and have read summaries about "deep work". Might get the full books soon, but step by step😁
@@DeadlyAlpacaa yeah honestly the summaries are good enough to get started, my book is super short each chapter is only like 2-3 pages so it can be a quick read. let me know if you like it!
One book i can recommened is "Think and grow rich" by Napoleon Hill it just give you this mindset, that you can achieve everything that you desire to achieve.
I would recommend to anyone thinking about getting into engineering (even if already there): How to avoid a climate disaster by Bill Gates Elon Musk's biography by Ashlee Vance These two made me decide on engineering since made me realize I wanted to work creating new technologies to solve mankind's problems and help as many people as possible. AND your book is pure gold, I would add it to the upper list since is a GREAT guide for us (engineering students). Thanks for giving us that ✌

So actually I want to start with Walter Isaacson's Steve Jobs and Albert Einstein's biographoies, I shall add the innovators to that list!
Dale Carnegies book is GOATED. Uve rwad it twice but I definitely need to read it again. I think it has yet to be surpassed in many respects.
