For those that are hating saying Harlem can’t compete with good teams, Harlem beat Pickens 2-1 and 12-0 and Pickens beat cartersville who was in the state championship for 5a. Also Lowndes lost to a 2a team that Harlem beat twice by multiple runs… and people also don’t understand the fact that even though Harlem isn’t a team full of D1 athletes, they play more as a team than any other team in the state which makes them scrappy and able to win almost any ball game.
I mean they’re ranked #9 in the nation on MaxPreps for a reason. But I think if they were to play a team like Lowndes, they’d get smoked. They’re a good team, no doubt. But hitting off of D1 pitching and facing 5+ D1 recruits in the lineup… I think they get run ruled. But that’s the beautiful thing about baseball. Anything can happen if you play as a team. I’m just saying if Calvary Day is their competition for the state championship, they wouldn’t know what to do facing a team from some of those bigger schools. Don’t get me wrong, I think they could beat some of them. But if they play ANY other team in the top 25 national rankings, they get smoked in my opinion.
@@FreeWilly336that’s a fair assumption but Harlem has proven in the playoffs during the sweet sixteen and elite eight that they are more than capable of facing upper d1 pitching by scoring 4 runs on a potential draft pick who sat 92 and topped 94 from the left side and beating a Georgia tech commit that sat 93 and topped 95. As for Harlem’s pitching, they have limited most D1 hitters faced this year to mostly weak hit balls and a few singles here and there and that’s without having their ace in the playoffs. But I can understand how someone from the outside can assume that Harlem would get whooped by any other team just because of commits or classification, however after having first hand experience and looking at stats, this team definitely has the talent to hang with top tier teams such as Lowndes.
CD's catcher is absolute Swiss cheese back there. Also is throwing rainbows to 2nd, they ran all over him. Really shocked at how low-level this game is considering it's a GA State championship. Disappointed in that, but great vid as always R3!
Because it's low level. Georgia is the most balanced state competition wise. The elite teams are going to be your bigger schools and these are some of the smallest.

One loss means nothing. Lowndes schedule was 3 times as strong as harlem. They wouldn't stand a chance in 5,6,or 7A.
harlem catchers primary is just the full on splits and i love it 😭
I heard the right fielder for Harlem is a cocky thing and this definitely proved that. Son needs to be humbled. He’s not d1 power 5
back to back state champion so he’s gotta be somewhat good
U sound like a hater 😂😂 how many state championships u got?
Majority of good athletes are cocky.
You gonna humble him?
No clue who he is...but showed mid level high school starter talent in this video at best...

Yeah he only threw out one runner on a delayed steal off a pitch out. The fact they made it this far with that catcher surprises me.

Lowndes would win by 35 runs. This was a really low-level baseball game. Now, Lowndes vs a 5A champion might be interesting but 3A, no way.
