Your vet has a nice garden! Thanks for sharing about your vet visit. We have an exotic animal vet (including parrots) nearby and I would love to just hang out in the waiting room!
Right? Yes, I love her grounds - and I love hanging out in the waiting room. My daughter asks why I talk to everyone and I'm like, "They have parrots or exotic animals! I want to know everything about them!" LOL I learn some this way...
@@moodybroodychickchocks526 I had a bfa who I got when he was 28 (recently passed), but I got lucky in getting him from a foster family and not the rescue. The rescues don’t adopt to apartments unfortunately. But it’s easy to pick up a baby. I’m tempted but would rather get an older bfa.
I thought the same or when I see all the tortoises in the rescue centres, had one myself as a kid and a budgie with a seed only diet, but we didn't know better then I am really interested in parrots but in the end will stick with Budgies or Sierra parakeets as their life span is much shorter
This question is exactly why I calculated my age when I got my caique. We are going to pass over to the unknown around the same time, if I die before, she knows my son and my husband very well and my son will take her. Our Yellow naped amazon is a rescue born in 1998, my son was born in 1994 so hopefully everything will turn out fine. People are surprised when I tell them how I took MY age into consideration when getting the caique, while I don't understand why people don't do it...?
Very interesting. Occasionally I hear my birds eating. I also get treated to one of my birds ringing his bell. That happens right after I cover them and turn out lights. He has a stainless steel bell on a stainless chain. It’s a great tubular bell as it’s heavy and he can’t get to the clapper. The clapper is soldered into place and it too is heavy duly. But, it’s like giving a young child a drum set. It never stops. I agree it’s very difficult to determine if a bird is hurting. Cats are difficult but birds… ❤

Good video 💝👌👍
Many many thanks!
Eso es muy cierto
Gracias!
With the lifespan of these species how can anyone get a large parrot (grey, Amazon, macaw) at an older age?
Rescue one who is older and is in need :)
