The CC effect won't sustain, and it's a shame because it really is pretty good BB. Ratings will return to normal next year. Yes, the flash and dunks of the men's game are great but keep it in context that it is women's basketball (at least for now) and appreciate it for what it is. I hope CC's glorious year was enough to bring in actual fans and not bandwagon fans -- but I don't think it did. Oh well, at least next year's broadcasts will ge t back to talking about all of the teams and storylines throughout the game since they won't have that Caitlin Clark to dominate every broadcast.

Damon: Helen Reddy sang it best: "I am woman, hear me roar." Caitlin Clark is a great player with a great shot. She scored 3,951 points and broke Pete Maravich's 3,667 point scoring record, BUT, let's face it, you have to be a hun to score that many points, which means her teammates seldom touched the ball. The reason she leads in assists is because if she isn't shooting, she's passing to a teammate that finally gets to touch the ball and makes the shot. She has won every possible award a great player can possibly win, BUT, expectations were high for her to step up and hit some 3 pointers when her team needed her to hit the three pointer and she failed to come through for her team. You LIVE by the 3, you DIE by the 3. If Caitlin Clark had come down the court and hit 3 consecutive 3 pointers in a row to tie the game, and then won the National Championship against UNDEFEATED South Carolina, she would have shut up all her critics. Here's the problem Damon, ask any kid in the nation who number 22 is and they won't say Doug Flutie, they'll say Caitlin Clark, BUT, ask any kid in the nation who number 5, 10, 12, 21 or 25 is on the UNDEFEATED South Carolina team and they most likely couldn't tell you. Every great player knows that they have to protect the ball from the defensive opponent and when Caitlin Clark's pocket was picked as she casually bounced the ball through her leg, which South Carolina player stole the ball from her? We all know Havlicek stole the ball, Havlicek stole ball. The South Carolina player that stole the ball from Caitlin Clark was number 25 Raven Johnson. The WNBA was established in June of 1997, 27 years ago. The great women basketball players that founded the league didn't get the accolades that Caitlin Clark is getting before she even enters into the WNBA. They didn't receive the NIL (Name, Image and Likeness) deals before or after entering into the WNBA, BUT, that shouldn't be a reason for these veteran WNBA players to be envious of Caitlin Clark's NIL deals, INSTEAD, they should be happy for her that a female basketball player is finally being recognized for her popularity and greatness on the basketball court. Let's hope that Caitlin Clark doesn't become just another LINSANITY. Jeremy Lin captivated the nation and he did great things for the New York Nicks, BUT, where is he now?

WNBA sucks. SC suvked, they were MMA fighters not bbal players.
They beat the system by out muscling for rebounds under the basket and couldn't be stopped under the bucket.
They never got called for time under the bucket, reaching over the top and pushing , elbowing , thats it,
This has never been a factor in womens college B-ball before, they had the oldest, biggest and most roid'd players.
The 3 2 million / yr coach recruited WNBA players and somehow SC never got called for fowls. But this ended what could have been the explosion of the game, the sport , women etc.
Now it's back to business as usual, LGBT, BLM and take a knee nonsense.
