It only took a year, but I bought one. I just got the updated version delivered today. I can't wait to try it. Thank you again for the recommendation.
what are the "updated version" differences?
@@DanielTremblayVideo I was planning to do a video, but I'm only had it open for a day and the remote won't connect to the slider brain. I had an email going with them but I think the folks at Noxon ran out of the office right at 5pm their time.
But the big difference seems to be build quality. Also, there's only one cable going from the brain to the stepper motors. They're all distributed from a hub connected to the slider plate.
For the few hours it was working, it was great. I really hope tech support has an easy and fast solution for me.
@@ThatGuyZeb do you still use updated version (mod slider yes?)? Any problems or it works great? Did you tested other sliders vs noxton? (zeapon, edelkrone etc)
Brutal slider!! De lo mejor que he visto...
I wish I can get it...😇 big fan from India...♥️ following you when you have 10k... ☺️ Love your videos...
Really cool slider and thanks for the video!!
great review.. im very tempted.. will save for this for sure
Omg! This is fantastic ,I need one thanks so much
Do you recommend this product still?
Very nice video. I love your Channel and your animation style.
edu ha vueltoooooooo
me ha llevado unos días salir del hoyo, jaja, tengo un montón de trabajo
Nice job edu

Hi Edu! Thanks for this video. Very informative! Seems like an amazing slider for the price! Do you find this is accurate enough to do more than one pass of a movement accurately?
I dont recommend it for such a hard test, it can repeat the move if it is in the same day work and the weight have not affected the placement of any part. The travellling could work. Once you start mixing axis it becomes less acurate
@@edupuertasfruns Thanks Edu! That is what I thought. Still seems like a great slider for that price. I’m looking at Edelkrone and their slider seems more precise, but of course the price is significantly higher. Much appreciated!
I've been looking at the Edelkrone system. Have you had a chance to use that. I would really love to hear your feedback. Thank you for continuing to produce amazing content in this niche.
I haven't tried edelkrone yet. In another price range, also more focused on video. All depends on your needs
They have a new module that works with DragonFrame. Here's a link if you haven't seen it. It makes their products much more appealing to the stop motion crowd.

Just out of curiosity, what are the blue things sticking out of the drill press? I see these a lot, often with orange tips.
@@into.the.wood.chipper. Water cannon. It keeps the bit cool as it cuts through metal. Don't want that thing getting red hot and snapping. :)
A step by step video on how to program the controller would be nice.
Are you thinking of trying out the new Noxon Jib? 👍😊
Mmmm, would you like a video? I am in contact with them and could make it happen at some point
@@edupuertasfruns yes definitely. I respect your opinion on this kind of technology as you are all about precision. Even though my requirements don’t need the precision to the same degree as you 👍😊
Man you have a Cnc machine in your workshop this is insane
It is
Hello Edu! Could I ask what sort of bearing you are making use of on the top of the head at 0:55? I've been working with flange bearings and that looks like it might be far more suitable for my application. Thanks. :)
Wow nice love you and your videos your stop mototions are awesome I also make them a lot on my main channel
Thanks for this video Edu, this slider covers all bases! Are you in contact with the team at Noxon? I tried to order the compact slider package on their site but it says 'cannot be purchased'? I hope they're still in production?
Yes I am in contact with them, I will translate that info but the slider is on production for sure. You can also contact them and ask
you are really imaginative
I Hope some time I can buy this slider 😢
Ok. It took me some time to get the funds together, but I'm gonna order mine this week.
Thank you for the recommendation.
Esta buenisimo quiero uno de esos.
Can it do very smal movement aswell (for smooth stop motion in 24fps)
How does removing rigs typically work for motion control with stop motion? Do you just reshoot everything?
You make 2 passes of the camera movement , one with puppet , one alone
it is amazing video i love it keep it up also where can I see this beautiful masterpiece named "Matilda's secrets" where can I find it because I don't think this short film it's in our country ? please help also my country called Saudi Arabia please if you can visit us in our movie theater I would love to watch it .^_^
Do you need the adapter for dragoneframe capability? Thats dissapointing.
Hey Edu, the promo code doesn’t work anymore. Got any new ones? Thanks!
Can it track the person/you tuber while moving along a circular slider?
How do you find this slider 1 year after first use? Is it just as good?
One question, do you know if I can use this slider to be able to make a vertical tracking shot using a canon 5d mark iii + 50 mm in Dragonframe (2 kilograms max)? Is it too heavy? Thank you :)
Not recommending this with this slider. If you hack it with a counter weight then maybe. But as it comes it won't hold
@@edupuertasfruns Thanks so much. Can I ask you with what equipment to make a vertical tracking shot of about 1.5 meters with dragonframe? :)
you can check ditogear that has stronger motors than this one or make your own thing
hi.. have you tried newer sony cameras for stop motion.. fullframe or apsc
Tried, but I am not into it. I think they are better for video than for stopmo
@@edupuertasfruns thanks for the reply man.. could you please explain which specific sony cameras you tried & the problems you encountered because I'm planning to buy a sony a6400 mainly for stopmotion animation (planning to use a fully manual lens with adapter on it) & also use the camera for my photographic & video needs..
If you could please tell me what were the problems you faced while animating with a sony camera, it would help me greatly in making an informed buying decision.. sincerely hoping your reply
Can you use without the slider? Only pan/tilt head?
Yes
👍
Can you put this on a tripod?
Let me know how do you control the focus in your stopmotion projects
edu puertas awesome as ever Edu. I use dragonframe to pull focus straight from the camera. Never had any issues 👍🏻
@@peterjellis I use also DragonFrame, it's just perfect
Blue Berry maybe I should do a video on it!? 🤔
@@peterjellis yes maybe!
I am using a custom made slider with 4 axes, using Arduino. The focus is controlled with a small NEMA 17 motor connected to a hand focus wheel to gear it down a lot. Next custom rig will be a small jib arm with 6 axes.
hi! how fast can this slider move ??
Hi, what is the name of the arm used at 1:07? Thx
I builded myself it is a crane
Wow.
This is the quietest slider I've ever heard. 😂😂I thought it was a jet fighter powering up.

i'm pretty sure there are cheaper options out there, like the Elderkrone SliderOne for example
How it costs
Depending on the configuration
Out of stock now😑

:)
Everyone gonna use drone as a slider
Sorry there, but the annoying foreground music should have been in the background and subtle, whereas the presenters voice was way too quiet and the repetative music which I did not want to listen to, was way too loud. I could not easily hear what he was saying without blasting my speakers and waking up the house. Considering this video was made by a professional, then I would have expected better sound quality and balance between the important noise such as vocal information and the background music, which is of far less importance and should take a backseat role and not be overpowering as it was here. I bet you are all going to tell me it is my speaker set up, and not the video, or it's all in my head ;-) English subtitles to match the english speech would have been useful in this situation.
