hey guys,actual that Beste Zangers was so pivotal that it brought a whole new audience to NW and ticket sales soared and stadiums and arenas sold out in places like the Netherlands that NW had never even been heard of before.
They have a nanny who goes on tour with them. With the cancelations she ended up doing solo shows in the Netherlands with the band from the show. She does a great job of putting Nightwish first and organizing other projects around them :)
This interview reminds me of the context of Floor's participation in Beste Zangers in 2019: almost unknown to the general public in her own country, but an international star with Nightwish at the same time. Only one of the singers participating in this show knew her beforehand (Tim Akkerman), for the others she was at the beginning "the metal chick", and she established herself in every episode broadcast weekly, winning the admiration of the other singers, as well as the public in the Netherlands in front of the televisions, a country where metal was then considered an underground genre. Through her performance, Floor overthrew these preconceptions.
During this time, Nightwish fans were posting on YT parts of the show with English subtitles, fighting against the harsh copyright that I understand you also encountered.
An ironic note, when they basically told her "you can become a star in the Netherlands", and she basically replied "I'm already an international star, with Nightwish"
She is QUEEN of voice.
Floor is one of the most humble super stars anywhere
Floor has contributed to Nightwish success imensly. Her reach out to fans is among the best of any artist. She is so loved and is really a great role model for all successful musicians. I never respected any one this much in music industry. Her potential is very exciting.

For me this is the big difference between Floor and Tarja.
Floor stays loyal to her brothers in Nightwish. Going solo is important for her but staying loyal to Nightwish even more so. 😇😇😇😇

Yes, with Beste Zangers she finally has get the credits she deserves and her solo shows here in the Netherlands where very succesfull but than came Covid and a couple of shows where cancceled.
Also the new Nightwish album was released and everything came on a hold.
Then she began with the cover songs and the many other things like, Floor finds, fan Friday, Storytime. Than came the virtual Nightwish show, how awesome was that?
And finally the Covid period was over and the Human:||:Nature tour could launched and still isn't done yet.
And also she did Sing Meinen Song the German version of Beste Zangers.
All together.....what Floor has done in those 2 years is increddible, she has so much passion for music...unbelievable.

And of course this was before Covid hit and everything was put on hold but Floor recorded various covers at home which made her even more popular around the world.

What could possibly come up? Floor is working on a solo record for release in spring of 2023. She has also booked a solo tour of The Netherlands, Germany, and Austria for May of 2023. All scheduled for down time with Nightwish. Nightwish will be working on a new record in summer of 2023 for probable release in early 2024 followed by another world tour.
She is finding time to establish a solo career outside of Nightwish and maybe in the future, after Nightwish. You can't windmill and rock forever as you age.
Tuomas knows how to pilot his ship in exactly those winds, even new ones, exactly as he himself wants. And Floor, she is, and will remain at the helm of that ship. The windmill spins as long as the winds are blowing in this planet and Nightwish. .. Nightwish couldn't even be stopped anymore. Legends don't die. Ever.
@@jaana3634 Well said. It's a win-win all around, especially since Floor is making sure that her solo career generates genuine interest in Nightwish as well. I really believe she is - and has been for some time - the Nr1 reason for ppl to become NW fans who'd otherwise never give "metal" a chance. Floor will always be a true metalhead and will use each & every opportunity to promote the genre. Cheers! 🤘
