The thumb part is what helped me the most, what all the over videos don’t cover, they’d just go “oh just place them in and you’re good.” But you gave us the info that we all needed.
thanks for showing me the clip removal for the head band. Curious why you took both off? For future folks, you only need to pull one side clip off, slide the band out, and slide new one in the same side.
Helped me to replace the headband cushion on my specimen, thanks! I found it sufficient to remove just one of the two clips. The can opener blade on my spare Swiss Army Knife made it come out smoothly. (I also use it frequently to pop open back lids of watches.)
Excellent video, the foam headband on my HD660S headphones was looking a little bit "not new", I removed the foam headband from my 660S (using instructions in this video) and washed my foam headband in warm water and unscented shower gel, and, after rinsing thoroughly, I squeeze dried the foam into tissue and now my foam headband looks like new..... Thanks for making this video..... Next I will work on the foam ear pads :-)
I just changed mine. One problem not mentioned clearly enough. There are two sets of grooves (not crevices) built into the band to slide something into it. One for the headphone metal slider, and next to it one for the headband cushion. I had pulled out one headphone metal slider. When wanting to put it back, I discovered the hard way that there are two different sets of grooves. One may not see two sets of grooves and find themselves struggling by putting the metal slider into the wrong groove. I needed a flashlight to see what was going on.
Yes! I'm using the 4.0...Been about 5 years i believe, but just for discord and in game comms..still going strong and so get some compliments here and there in-game
I notice one of my side on my HD650 is missing one of those small clips, can you order these online? ive yet seen any website that have them. If someone has a link please hook me up.
Mine easily popped out with almost no force and already looked broken with little shards of plastic falling out but they also audibly clicked back into place very easily so they apparently don't have to be in perfect condition to keep functioning. They do seem fairly fragile overall though and likely break after so many years whether you take them off or not.

Hello Fokus, hello brightnes...!
A work of 30 sekonds elongated to 8 Min...!
is the new headband pad thicker than the stock sennheiser pad?
this one from the video was about the same, but recently gotten a new one from misodiko which is thicker than the stock

How do the clips even work? I can't reseat mine
@@zmmmzmmmz I just push straight in and they click but I think they break too. Mine come kind of loose and keep pushing them in.
Eh Im just going to keep my headband how it is....dont want to risk breaking those plastics
anyone else bend the hell out of their metal mesh on the can trying to push the damn pads in?
