Cho was actually pretty good here, not as robotic as in his other movies. The movie itself could have been more interesting as a film noir, so that 鳳凰女 was actually the mastermind and then blamed it on 林蛟 . Or they could have made it so that 林蛟 was in cahoots with 鳳凰女s husband to get her into his trap.

我都是第一次看此片故事背景是廣州，曹達華的貞探扮相入型入格。在電視我曾看過在港拍攝1947年國語片某夫人中，曹達華已參與演出並說國語。另林蛟在50年代仍很年輕及俊朗且有功夫底難怪很多功夫片也有他參演。但印象深刻是他在電影演“恩義難忘”的老師被毀謗加害而鬱鬱而終。

很喜歡看華叔叔扮演探長，正經嚴肅中又不經意的帶着幽默感，這部奇案電影亦非常好看。
