- Underøath's album 'Define The Great Line' turns 10 today. In honor of this milestone, we had vocalist Spencer Chamberlain and drummer/vocalist Aaron Gillespie share 10 facts about the album that you may not yet know!

Ok, to all the jerks who are judging these dudes for something as trivial as their choice of language. When it all comes down to it, these guys are about the music. They love to create and perform music. I'm positive they just want us, the fans, to respect and appreciate them as UO, as artists, without any preconceived notions of their beliefs. Their music relates to all walks of life and has gotten me through many a tough time.... Peace y'all
I've changed a whole through the years, but my faith is still very strong. What I've notice is that very often the afflictions of life can push and almost break you...but I've held on to my faith. In other words I have no stones to throw.

Define the great line is one of those albums that for me, it only gets better with time. Definitely top 3 albums from them.
As a New Englander, I love to hear that one of my favorite albums growing up (Define the Great Line) was recorded in New England. Cold and dark? Yepp. That's how winter is up here.

Huh. I had no idea Spencer's speaking voice was that deep given how high some of his screams could get.
his singing voice is even higher than aaron's, it's weird man
Nathan Blackmon his singing voice is not higher than Aaron's except for maybe 2 songs on their last album where he sang about the same as Aaron.
Spencer also looks very feminine. When I first got into Underoath I seriously thought he was a girl.

Was listening to this earlier today
I got this album on CD three different times in 2006-2007. Once as a birthday gift in 2006, and then twice in 2007- also as birthday gifts. All most of my friends seemed to remember off the top of their heads was that I loved Underoath 😂
Zing Studios is actually in Westfield, MA just outside of Springfield (I grew up there). The D'Angelos that they're referring to has had a "Now Hiring" sign posted since 2009. I guess no one wants to work there.
This album was leaked on Limewire or something like that a few weeks before release. I had a copy and all the track names were mixed up.
I remember that. Writing on the walls had the other track name a moment suspended in time and all the others were mixed. I remember buying the album then being like wtf lol

yes!!! i hated the record at first but when i heard the final mix and the correct track listing it blew me away. still one of my favorite albums :)

the only person from UO that i would be genuinely surprised to hear use a cuss word is Chris. i'm sure it's happened, because he's a human and humans say words sometimes, but he's like a giant goofy teddy bear and goes out of his way to not cuss.
