- Hey Fantasy and Sci-fi book fans! Well I think it is about time we did away with the star rating system I have been using. In this video I am going to be discussing the new Tier like system rating I will be giving books in the future. I have also gone back and looked at all books I have read to date in 2022 and rated them on this new system. To keep up to date with books I am currently reading please follow me on Goodreads! I hope you enjoy this new system of rating books. I believe it is a better way for me to inform you of how the books I read will fit into my life and hopefully help inform you more in whether you should purchase or pass.

I really like the new system. Much clearer to see how you feel about a book than a star rating.
I think your system is fun, as long as it gives you a better way to express what you feel about the books you read. Because of Goodreads, I used to give 1-5 stars, but I never minded it that much. Now I dont use GR anymore, so I just read without giving rating. At the end, I just remember the good books only anyway hehe.
This ranking system seems really cool! I also think that it'll be so much easier during mid-year review/ end of year review to go through them all. 😊

Thanks Chas! Yeah I thought I would wait to release this video once I had a book that satisfied each category. I think this system will work good!

I don't know that we have too similar of taste but I think your ranking system seems really efficient and more helpful than just the regular star-rating (which I use just because of GoodReads lol). I look forward to more reviews!

Cool system! I still rate 1-5 on GR but as far as my shelves, if it's not good enough for me to reread, I'm getting rid of it.
If it wasn't for goodreads, I'd do something like this too. But I'm in too deep now.
I'll still be using goodreads to track my reading. I just wanted something more of my own
