saw jimmy at janis, really amazing concert. hung out afterwards. truly genuine human being. would have loved to see king peter in concert. so much power in his message
Why comparing the two legendary icons? Each is great in his own rights. Jimmy Cliff visited Africa several times. I attended a memorable concert in Kinshasa, Congo (Zaïre, back then). He started the whole thing with that same Bongo Man song, after running the tracks of the giant stadium, waving at us - thousands of us. Tons of decibels!!! So Nyabingi vibration was felt in the midst of a magic evening. I thought I was dreaming but all was true.

RAS CARDO HAS THE DETAILED HISTORY SHOULD HE FORGET.
Fully Fullwoods on bass looking and playing Hot! Not getting No credit as Usual!!! This is not Petor & Jimmy dueling Bingo!! Deceptive total!! Royal Family! Still get a 'Thumbs up!' RastaFarI, and I, For Iver!
I thought it was a jewel that I didn't knew but it's the story of just pasting 2 differents works 2gether... I am really disappointed by this way of doing things...
Peter Tosh is such a show off! When I was younger I used to be so taken with these so called Rasta drumming. Then I moved to Nigeria West Africa and heard the real thing! Now these Rasta drums sound tame and not at all rhythmic!
@@jomohector5274 Maybe to you , African drumming is something else! There are drums that can speak! Of course Jamaicans by extension have African ancestry, and are instinctive to the drum ! But West Africa in particular is roots !
@@aframaco9491 that’s real authentic Jamaican Rastafarian nyabinghi Drumming I grew up with 2 Rastafarian brothers, they use to gather in our back yard and across the ball ground beating their kete drums chanting Rastafarian chants smoking their chillum pipes I even remember that man Mutabaruka being there with my bothers he grew up with them, I’m not disputing or disrespecting what you’re saying but I know what I witnessed as a child.

did you.... misspell "bongo"?
It's both illegal and unconstitutional to compare the two, Peter was omnipotent
Both are great but you haven't listened to Jimmy Cliff''s repertoire long and hard enough.
