How are you able to turn on slipstream when it's non-contact?

here we are on a "Premium Race"(100 000$/Win one Time each 48 minutes) , and there is no adjustment possible before the race, so everyone has the Slipstream in non-contact...
... yes I know it's counter intuitive, but it's Rockstar who made these Premium races like that 😅
