i just wanted to say thank you and that you’re right about how growing up, one way or another you’ll end up spending more time with yourself. Losing friends can be tough. Sometimes they change and dont align with your principles anymore and it’s okay to let them go. And even if you’re surrounded with your friends, you can still feel lonely. Material things, friendship, romantic love, and all kinds of things will only last for a little while. You have to find that purpose in you, that inner fulfillment in order for you to find long lasting happiness with your peers, friends, family, and partner. My last year of highschool and all kinds of things has happened. Even when im given academic success, constant wins in varsity, admiration, friendship, romance, material things, i still end up feeling empty. Although i was happy, that did not last long. I’m currently finding that purpose and inner fulfillment within me and i find myself in peace and content. Thanks gigi because as you said, even if you try to explain to someone else, they dont quite get it because theyre not in your shoes. i find comfort in you because you seem to understand.
