This song is just simply beautiful. THIS gifted and talented young man and these beautiful Brothers singing with so much harmony Iove and soul. This really touched my heart ❤️💕💕❤️🙏💖
Never heard of this group. He can really sing. Their version came out when Aretha was a teenager. Wonder if she heard it then and recorded it herself in the 1970s . This is when I first heard this song. Beautiful
Ive heard the Impressions version. Personally I feel this version sounds better. The lead singer here has incredibly velvet vocals that as good as Mayfield was, just couldn't touch this. This is sublimely beautiful.
One of the very best covers of this song EVER!! I think I prefer the Impressions by just a bit. However the song was "coined" by Joe Scott in 1954 and first recorded by Johnny Ace. Other covers by vocal groups included Lou Ragland & Bandmasters, Ree Flores & Duprells, Eddie Holman, Bob Jeffries & Mondellos, Serenaders & Van Dykes. Thanks for posting this great rendition, Dennis - ultimatevocalgroup
A Very Nice And Smooth Song But I Never Heard Of This Group; I Thought The Impressions Were The First To Record This Masterpiece; In My Opinion There’s Is The Best Version, Curtis Mayfield Rocked This Cut.

This is what we called soul music.
Doo Wop, the greatest sounding music to ones ear.
I love love love The Spidells!! I had a crush on Billy💕
Beautiful, clear voice. It's exploited well with a minimalist arrangement. This might be the nicest version out there.
Johnny Ace first impression second this is very good never heard this by them before
Amazing song! Beautiful & gentle Doo - Wop 🎙🎶🎙🎙🎙🎙& this Video ( Not seen before! ) is the coolest. Nice touch with the flute ❤ this.
I like this version, but I am sorry my favorite is by the Impressions. I love them 😍❤️❤️.

I bought Johnny Ace's when it was out, but, I like The Serenaders' version best, Impressions 2nd, Eddie Holman & Larks 3rd.
You know what you are talking about my friend

Very very nice rendition of this wonderful song. To me it still sounds to close to to doowops rather than rythm & blues. Great posting
No one. can do this song like Curtis Mayfield and the impression no one.
Anyone knows who the Spidells were Vs Del Vikings??
So that was a remake that the impressions did. This is a 50s version. The impressions is better 😊
Note for Note just like the Curtis Mayfield version 🤔
BEAUTIFUL SONG! I LIKE CURTIS MAYFIELD VERSION BETTER! 😍
That fucking flute ruined a masterpiece!
