Written in 1896 as part of his “Six Musical Moments” and opening with a sweeping left hand figure that continues as a murmur throughout the entire piece, Sergei Rachmaninov's Moment Musicaux No. 4 in E minor is certainly a test of a pianist’s endurance and accuracy.
