The colors and products used were used well and efficiently. I really like when you used the darker blue color because in stead of putting in in all the areas where you put the last color you only put in the most important spots and that made the eye have more of a swollen look witch gave it a more black eye look.
This was brilliantly done! I love this series idea, and looking forward to the rest :) I had to do bruising SFX make-up on a film shoot last year, but yours is much better. I did the best I could with what I had though, haha!
I thought you were a makeup artist you are great at everyday makeup and the sfx is really realistic and professional, but then I read the description haha! I really like this series you are very talented and you have very clear instructions
About 2 years ago i tripped on a doorway and hit my temple. And within a day my entire eyelid was purple and swollen. And I'm telling you. It looked near *exactly* like that. That is amazing. And id like to learn cuts and scraps next. That would be so rad! c:
THANKS FOR THIS CHANNEL !!. I used to be a great make-up artist but I've been out of the game for more than 10 years, now I need a refresh on my skills , your a godsend !!.
Makeup special effects is totally one of my favorite things! I'm really excited about watching the rest of this series! I would say, even though its not close to Halloween, do some paranormal makeup stuff. I always love watching those kinds of things.
I can't emphasise enough how much Cherry Wallis is an inspiration. She's the most amazing, inspirational person I've ever had the honour to watch. I love her so much and I hope she remains that way
I thought you were a painter and a singer through your artistic ways I never knew you could do such amazing special effect makeup. Where did you learn to do this?
I took a teenage course thing a few months ago as I was really interested in it and the teacher that demonstrated the looks didn't look as good as yours, your so talented😊
Woah I really enjoyed that video! It was genuinely interesting to see how a bruised effect is created and not something I've seen anyone do before well done x
you don't have to say that you're not a makeup professional and that you've just been playing with it since you were young. makeup is a form if art, you don't see people uploading speed paints say "I'm not an artist I just draw". don't lower yourself, you have talent.
You did an amazing job! Any point of the video you could stop it and it'd look like a stage of the healing process (if that makes sense lol). I also loved how you actually explained why you did each step by describing what happens when you get a black eye. 2 thumbs up!!!
I really don't see why Cherry /needs/ to put a trigger warning. Sure, I understand that it could trigger some people, but the clue was in the title really=_= great video though!
This is a good series idea! Original :) I don't "like" many videos that isn't music, but this deserves a like! Looking forward to more! Love your eyebrows too
I like how the makeup artist described what happens to your face when you get a black eye, like how the eye area bruises more because the skin is thin and how the bruise is pooled blood from broken capillaries. I think adding the black in the corner of the eye makes it more realistic. The clear lip gloss was a nice way to add dimension and something I would not have thought of. This seems like it would be safe and hygienic and I could easily replicate it with makeup that I have. The yellow is another thing that I wouldn't have thought of. Some makeup videos have a voiceover giving instructions and some don't; I like how this one did. She was right in saying that if you get beat up and get a black eye, you will probably also have bruises on other parts of your face. Speeding up the video during parts was a good way to manage the length of the video. I would like to know how this woman does her eyebrows.
I'm lucky that I have naturally shaped eyebrows... I currently only use a tiny bit of brow whiz pencil, but for my eyebrows here when I used to do them darker - there is a tutorial on my channel for it! :)
A good place to do a bruise is on your wrist bone. A small bruise there looks like a broken wrist! (Use a more brown/green shade to make it look older)
Cuts, scars and rashing would be good! Great video btw, at the end I couldn't help myself but think of an advert against "Cherry Abuse"...I have a weird mind, please don't judge...
Woah! Cherry you are so talented, I can't believe you taught yourself 😊 I think an open wound would be a great idea for the next tutorial! Great idea for a series 💙💕
Wow! This looks scarily realistic, you are so talented! I honestly can't wait to see what you come up with next for this series. Do you know how to do stitches or open cuts? x
Could you possibly do like a burn or something similar?? Love the video by the way!! I wanna go into SFX make up so this is really useful! Love youu Cherry!! ♥♥
Omg cherry, how you look at the beggining. You look stunning without the eye makeup, infact i think i prefer it :) it looks so cute and natural (not that i don't like you without it), i honestly think you should stick to having everything else, without anything applied to the eyes, even if you disagree :)) xxx
putting the wheel on the video was such a great touch x
I'm loving all of the suggestions so far, keep them coming! And thank you for all the kind words!
Maybe animal cuts/wounds? Like, some angry huge hamster decided to scratch an itch you didn't have?
I think you should do a Halloween doll/ ghost one . I know it's not the season, but maybe in the future :)
What about a Jocker one ????
Zombie make up
Hello Kitty!!
Episode 1: MAKEUP SFX: Black Eye / Bruising - ENJOY!
Get the London look.
Joe Coe lol
😂😂

Aw thank you! It just takes practice, I remember trying to do bruises with poundland eyeshadow when I was a kid, haha!
You would be great to do make up in movies! Like wow, this looks so good, at first when i saw the thumbnail i thought you actually got hit
I thought you were a makeup artist you are great at everyday makeup and the sfx is really realistic and professional, but then I read the description haha! I really like this series you are very talented and you have very clear instructions

I'm in literal awe of how real that looks. Awesome job, Cherry :)

Wow cherry, honestly saw the thumb nail and started freaking out because it's that believable! Woah
Makeup special effects is totally one of my favorite things! I'm really excited about watching the rest of this series! I would say, even though its not close to Halloween, do some paranormal makeup stuff. I always love watching those kinds of things.
I don't know what kind of special effects you have on your hand, but it would be awesome to see you do a chelsea smile!!

Wow it looks so real wow well done Cherry. Have a gold star.
At the end of it, I thought it was gonna be an advert type thing where it says "Abuse is a choice" or "92 cents a day can help."
Me too! hahahaha
I love this ! The first vid that makes a black eye look simple an easy to do thank u
cuts & bulletholes! definitely the best thing to do with stage makeup.
I thought that said cuts and buttholes LOL.
I took a teenage course thing a few months ago as I was really interested in it and the teacher that demonstrated the looks didn't look as good as yours, your so talented😊

Great tutorial, especially with the visualization of which colors were used! I wish the makeup wheel wouldn't cost almost 30 bucks now.
can't wait for the next one! you are seriously so good, how long have you been experimenting and practising with make up?

Great tutorial… You nailed it!
Your eye brows look soo nice xoxo
Oh damn that bruise wheel is expensive but effective! Hopefully I can recreate something similar with another bruise wheel!
Holly Brown for the reds and purples you can use lipsticks, and the other colors you could try using eyeshadows.
When I saw the thumbnail I was like OMFG CHERRY IS BRUISED then I watched the video and I was like oh.. AWESOME WORK!!!
Cherry this is amazing!!! 💚💋
I saw the thumbnail and got freaked out. :-P Then I realized it was makeup.
