Ciao dear friend Stefano! What a wonderful project usable for christmas :-) I have already odered 10 pcs of it! Wish you all the best! Merry christmas, Boris, Svizzera
@@Stefano91ste Yes Stefano I think so. I‘ve tried to build something like this and I used capacitors to make the Leds go out slowly. I used another IC and it went okay. But after 1-2 minutes the circuit stopped working..? I don‘t know why. But yours looks great even with no capacitors! Cheers, Boris. 🇨🇭
Hi Boris! - it is difficult to understand now, maybe some component was crossed by too much current and burned out, sometimes big problems can be solved by add a small resistor (it's just a guess based on my small experience of results and failures xD).. I find your idea of capacitors very interesting, I didn't think about it.. so I would have obtained a wake effect like KITT in Knigt Rider TV series =)
Just finished assembling! Thanks for this project and the excellent gerber files. This will complement the aesthetics of my Star Wars Trilogy arcade project tremendously.
Hello, thank you very much :) I try to help you, as far as the power supply is concerned, a lot of current capacity is not required (at 5 volts it also works by powering it via USB) - however it is important that the voltage is DC. I hope I understood what the problem was!
Had some boards made via JLCPCB, kept options default with "slow" postage and costs were low. Worked well, once I put the LED in the right way round. 🤪Which was good practice for learning to unsolder components and butcher a PCB back to life. Still, you learn a lot from mistakes. Assuming you don't die trying.🙂Seems fine on lower voltages (~5V). Nice project. Thanks ...
Sweet! Also, 5v means you could use a USB power bank to make it portable or wearable. 😊 The Christmas tree with no decorations, except for this cracked me up! 😂 Another fun project, Definitely going to get some of these PCBs with my next order. Thanks!
Thank you =) Don't be scared I was starting to decorate it and I took the opportunity to record this clip😂😂😂 And it work via USB: ruclips.net/video/3IUJcIZ2bvY/видео.html (video extra)
Stef, how many lights can you add to this before you have to up the voltage? If I use smaller 3mm lights? I was thinking of this for my mock airport center runway lights.. What do you think?
Hi, You can put 30 LEDs without problems, in parallel as in my diagram but in groups of three, 3 or 5 mm is always fine. I like your idea of using them as runway lights😎
@@Stefano91ste Well I have my toys I need to upgrade ya know.. and at 68 years old I have a lot of time for upgrades.. I was thinking of doing that to my 18' aircraft deck I have built out in the back yard to land my rc ww2 fighter plane on also.. But I am not sure they had them on the old carriers.. I will have to look it up.. thanks brother I appreciate all of your hard work.. especially the board schematics I can send to have dome boards made. You so a great job here. Carry on and have a Merry Christmas..
Grazie mille😁 in pratica per ordinarli puoi scaricare il file del PCB, ogni video ha il link al file del progetto specifico, poi carichi quel file sui siti di produttori di PCB (io uso jlcpcb) e loro li realizzano.

Hello Boris =)
Thank you! You'll see, you'll have fun assembling it =)

Okok, share the link here, if RUclips were to send the comment for review I will approve it manually
I found the problem... a bad wire. I edited my original comment above. Thanks much!
Awesome leds😮
Ordered a bunch, looks a good project to practice THT and fun for Xmas. JLCPCB are good. Just have to watch for high shipping costs for priority mail.

Ciao Luigi! vedrai che ti divertirai a montarlo!! Grazie =)
I thought you will make POV
Bellissimo! La scritta Rain Led sul circuito per indicare il nome del progetto è un tocco di classe! :D
Grazie mille Teo 😎😎😎
Very good 👌
I Subscribed 👍
Thank you!😁
Amazing work🙏
excellent👍👌
Thank you:)
@@Stefano91ste sir I want to make circuit for 10

Is it possible in this circuit?

Do well! it's nice to have a lot of time for your hobbies :) Thanks for the comment!
These circuits I did when I was little. Where are you from?
Hi, is always a good circuit! I am from Italy, you?

Like e follower da tempo ormai.
Ma non ho ancora capito come funziona il sistema per farsi mandare e fare le basette dei circuiti

Hello again! Which component would I change to achieve an even slower scan rate? The capacitor? Thanks!
Yes, If the slowing down of the potentiometer is not enough, the values of the capacitors must be modified
@@Stefano91ste higher value?
@@JohnEricBooth yes, higher
Cool
Thank you!
hi E P S...

very beautifully LED kit
Hi bestamerica, It's not a KIT, it's a PCB that I designed =)

Hi, 3 LED for any channel
Circuit diagram please sir
hi can i use 50k potentiometer answerplsssssssssss i need answer
Hi, Yes 50K is OK
@@Stefano91ste ok thank you
Explain the circuit diagram instead of music
The explanation of the circuit starts at 0:27
👍👌
Circuit diagram pls
Watch the video from 0:25 (circuit diagram explanation) and at 5:50 for clear circuit diagram
Needs Gerber file
Circuit diagram please sir
Hi, read video description for circuit diagram
