Willow has amazing vocals as it is though. Not saying Dani can’t get there, she definitely can, but willow has always had a stellar singing voice naturally
i’m kind of surprised i haven’t seen anybody mention this yet but i suppose it’s an indie band for a reason- beach bunny also does a pretty good job with pop punk. i would say their general genre is closer to indie rock and indie pop, but a few songs are reminiscent to pop punk, and it works well because of trifilio’s confidence/power in her voice. danielle could get there with vocal training, but it also doesn’t seem like she actually cares about it, she’s only doing it because it’s trendy and, as james said, her fanbase is getting to the age where cursing a lot is considered cooler, or something like that…

@Glum Sullen I live in a small Australian city that has regular sold out punk appreciation nights, pop punk never died or went on life support, it's continually had extremely devoted fans, and every few years new artists, covers, collabs and uses in other media makes it have a rise in popularity. Every genre goes up and down, and saying anything is dead, or on life support is inaccurate. Especially since "not being as popular" isn't exactly proof of anything.

I said the same damn thing. Flea is an amazing bassist, has done a lot for kids wanting to learn to play music, and genuinely loves his fans. I saw RHCP in concert and him, chad, and the new guitarist rocked out for a good half hour after the show after anthony weirdly walked off stage without saying anything.
