So you were the most popular builder over there I can imagine. I've showen mine at the LegoWorld 2007 exibition. Children have played all day with it. I placed a VisionCommand Camera with RCX controlled Bulldozer to select children from the crowd in front, providing them tokens for the machine. Again, youre machine is really excellent!
I really appreciate how you took it all the way, on an exceptional high-quality standard, putting LEGO and the NXT applications to a next higher level :) Simply AWESOME!
That is extremely impressive. I spent 10 months on a Meccano slot machine. You can see it at the LondonMeccanoClub channel but it pales into insignificance against this.
@kbchoi99 that is right i can see quite a few non lego pieces from the outside alone although it is still pretty awesome. wonder how much of the inside is only lego?
Hey, that's like when I get exibit materal at my job, I have to spend like half the dam work day repairing booth parts because mail carriers think the packages are freaking kick balls and foot balls!! :)
thats awesome how long did that take u? i just finished building a remote control airsoft gun that was wirelessly controlled through bluetooth. i reformatted my computer and now im having trouble installing the widcomm drivers even though i have the abe bluetooth dongle. ive tried almost all versions of widcomm and either they dont recognize my dongle or i get a licensing error
I'm very intrested in making one of these, any idea of the lego sets that you used on this project? I know from the pics on Brickshelf, you got afew free style brick sets, but I need a little help on the technic side of the deal. I'm pretty good with technics, but you're better, LOL.
so is there a gyroscopic sensor mounted on a little platform connected to the inner walls with a pivot or a touch sensor with a slope like construction on the tip to sense if there is any type of coin money going in to the machine? i was just wondering this since i wasn't sure if this was like a little bank or some random slot machine... i was also wondering what was the role of the blue object seen in 2:55... and what is the max. capacity of the coin holder in 3:00
Of course, I must have missed that, what no. lego pieces did you use for the lighting? what are they powered by? And wher can I get one! i'm 11 and i'm trying to build something like this before my mum turns my playroom into a study!
Did you not see all the Technic pieces on the inside? Those are Legos too. For that matter, the whole thing is based around a Lego Mindstorms CPU. The only parts I see that AREN'T legos are the reels, the buttons, the labels, and the coins.
Remember back in the day, when you played with Legos and asked your friend, holding up a heavily mutilated boat, "Does this look like a spaceship?" and since it didn't, you just put one of those plastic cockpit things on it, with some antennas and rockets. Why can't I understand technology? I feel like a 90 year old looking at an iPod.
This brings back some heavy nostalgia!
This brings back so much memories

Lol aweseome. Best part is if you ever run out of money just pull it apart so that the "house" never wins.
Wanted a slot machine in my living room for some years now... This might be a option. :)
Buy one they go for 25$
Now, if they had slot machines like that around here, I might just play one.
