      Hi! This is actually pretty easy: The AM2 has a narrow wind way and is therefore suited for recorder players. The AM1 is open and free blowing, feels like a low D whistle and saxplayers will find it easy to use since it takes more air whereas the AM2 is rather soft to play…

    Thanks for explaining. I may end up with both eventually, but I started on flute and now also play saxophone and have a Howard low whistle and would like a more Irish flute-like sound until I actually possibly get one, so I guess I'll start with the original. 😂

      It really depends on the individual preference. AM1 needs more air - which most sax players prefer. Am2 needs less air and therefore the high register is easier. Am2 is good for longer and softer tones. Am1 is louder instead. I switch between both models depending on the song...
