Public Libraries have the cleanest bathrooms when you're on the road.
Yeah, I commented on this also. There are so many options that are better in my mind than transporting a bucket of your own waste.
You ain't gonna find a library when you're driving through the mountains
No Buc-ee’s

This would have saved so much agro

Tip 11
Don’t be a hero!
Pull over and take a five minuet nap so you don’t get into an accident.
No. You're an idiot if you take a 5 minute nap. The scientific minimul amount of napping time that gives you energy is 15 minutes. Any less and it's a waste of time because you didn't gain anything.

The Singletrack Sampler the videos don't watch themselves either. It takes the right thumbnail to get the click 😂
Ima kiss you bro 😘
Your stuff is sick.. New guilt binge watching. Your stuff just makes me want to hit the trail.
Oh huck yea man, gotta share the stoke of mountain biking!! Love hearing that man 👊
Hey Alex, one question for you... I am somewhat new to MtBing , I ride with one are due to an injury that left me paralyzed in my left arm. What's the best advise for riding harder. I.e. Jumps rough tails.

Suggestion for changing clothes: Open both doors and then drape a beach towel between the doors to provide the fourth "wall". You can clip it to the door top with clothes pins to keep it from slipping. I use mini-spring clamps. I also carry a "prayer rug" to stand on that has a waterproof bottom. Car floor mats can work but you may end up with mud in the car.

Seth you should make a brief history of the various disciplines of mountain biking in a documentary format. You could call it

haha great!
The engine block hack is great. Used it a few times through a winter when I was working for a tree service. Takes longer than a microwave but the end result is still better than a cold lunch in 30* weather.
That is definitely how we cook while riding snowmobiles as well. I've had some pretty awesome hot meals in sub-zero temps using engine heat! Nice video!!!
My car engine area is also hot as fuck you be near it and open the hoosld and your warm
Alex looks deep in thought, maybe there should be a new mini-web series coming this winter: "The Singletrack Sampler's Heavy Doodie Thoughts".
Brilliant!
I am a master at road trips and I can say, this is actually very well done and to be hobedt, a lot of these are right on the money
May God bless Seth, BKXC, & Alexander(Single track sampler), and all other youtube Mountain bikers giving so much enjoyable and helpful videos.
I would just add 4 large hefty trash bags to this list great for everything for unexposed rain as seat covers to emergency ponchos a way to collect water or to tape between doors for more coverage when changing and so on
Broh, you are just so simple, and that's exactly what makes your videos so great!
You just don't try to pretend to be
Love your videos Broh, anybody can see the effort you put on them 👍
I'm a street motorcycle rider that watches your videos because you make great content. I guess I'm the outlier because I don't hike, mountain bike, or have much enthusiasm for the outdoors. Great videos my guy
I use the door trick when i get changed after surfing in the UK. Pulling off a 4mm wetsuit is soooo much easier with a door dressing room than it is a towel around your waist. Good to see others can now use it too!
3:02 HOLY CRAP! Seth finally got a dirt jumper! Top right.

I've made a similar chain, with hardware big chain! But instead of the tube I used a cable organizer wrapper (dunno the name, those spiral plastic to hold cables behind computers.)
Francisco Gamboa I think it’s called flex tube. Good idea. May crack after awhile though. But cheap. 👍🏻
Bad news with the chain, Bolt cutters are quicker than the key go with hd cable much slower to cut just squishes.
wish I had got into biking a long time ago. about to buy my first mountain bike and I'm glad I found this channel, lots of great motivation
Thanks for the chain and inner tube hack :) I’ve been tinkering around hardware stores on what to use on my chains to prevent it from ruining my bikes paint job. It’s a great idea!
Bumm the notification just arrived :D
+ Can you make a how to plan a road trip?
"on a road trip baby wipes should be your religion." praise the lord and savior of the world baby wipes
Lol
Never put baby wipes in a toilet though.
Baby Jesus wipes
May our baby wipes be dank
If you are travelling with more than one car, discord is actually really good for communicating with the other driver. The main advantage is that you don't have to use your hand to activate it like you have to with radios
Way late to the party, but have been crushing your videos. My quick tips for road trips include using your empty carbage can as your road trip bucket, in addition to keeping baby wipes in the car I always keep a couple microfiber cloths - great for cleaning sunglasses and windshields. Thanks for making awesome content!
You should always freshen up in the morning in a Walmart bathroom, bring a towel though to dry your face. One self-contained toiletry bag is a great idea. Also always have a good cooler, I recommend an RTIC. Alternate podcasts and comedy shows with music. If you can have a car or truck that you can sleep in, it makes traveling a lot easier. The baby wipes are a good idea. Also, a 2 liter Snapple bottle with a wide mouth works great for pissing while you are driving, only amateurs stop to go to the bathroom. Also, install a CB radio in your car, it makes road trips safer and more enjoyable. Truckers will give you hazard updates, speed trap locations and generally camaraderie on the road. Make sure to respect those 18 wheelers though, cuz they can squash you like an ant.
You should do a video about First Aid out in the wild. Since eventually someone will wind up with a compound fracture, broken ribs or a gaping head wound.
this is my favourite channel yet. i'm about to buy my first mountain bike soon!!! so this is a lot of help right now.
Seth, because of you, I got into mountain biking and so brought me my MTB, which is a diamondback
YES NEW VID
Seth has managed to make every hack list contain at least one thing about pooping
Great video! It's always best to have a go back in your car for emergencies too.
This video really helped me with trips. As someone with Ulserative colitis and always thinking where the next bathroom is the bucket with the pool noodle is an awesome trick
One piece of cheese?!
Considering I live in England a ‘road trip’ is about 5 hours XD
I haven't done "engine block grilled cheese" but I have done "engine block can of beans". Now with two items on the menu, I'll be designated the "Road Trip Chef"! Thanks Seth!
Haha! The engine block oven. Other than my dad who showed me, you have to be the only other person I've ever heard talk about this. When I started taking road trips friends, I was just as confused with the fact that they'd never heard of it as they were with me when I suggested it.
Pretty sure you and Alex should have a sitcom
Alex is kinda like Silent Bob in the fact he don't say much.
So.... yeah! total sitcom material!!!

great vid! Loved the doodie bucket and the long chain hack, both those are on my list

You need to use the plural form of 'video', but since I'm feeling nice I'll rewrite your comment.
I love you're channel, I watch all of your videos.

man i am not eaven a moutain biker i just love your work most of the tips are aplicable to bmx some how and hey it allways handy to have some extra knoledge about things in general, your work is just amazing i am really up to see whats coming next! i would love to see the bmx or the fat ripper back in the channel.
This is a great Hacks video. Thanks for sharing.
From the perspective of a fellow photographer and budding video maker, I am very curious how you managed that drone shot at 0:14. Did you control the drone from inside your trailer? Did you have someone standing off the road to control it? it's a great shot.
Stay upright and keep the rubber side down.
-Brian
Thanks! Actually I was sitting in the passenger seat, flying the drone straight down the road. We came up on it and passed.
Did you launch it from the truck as you were driving, or did you have to stop, pull over, get the drone in the air and then drive past it, pull over again, grab the drone and then get back moving? That cannot have been easy with your load.
6:50 i have a tesla how should I do it then?
Now if the 'engine block grilled cheese' hack wasn't enough to convince others to go patreon, i don't know what is. Entertaining as ever mate, keep it up!
Outstanding job on this video, esp the editing and music. As a former and recover truck driver I can say that I have experience with the heavy doodie bucket, but afforded myself no such luxury as a foam noodle! XD. For what its worth, engine block/exhaust manifold cooking is a culinary art. I suggest that one Never debate this with a trucker. my personal fave is the hobo dinner. Recipe follows:
Generous amount of heavy tin foil
Raw stew meat (cubed beef)
favorite seasoning (Tony Chachers Cajun or Morton sea salt rub)
various and sundry vegies (green beans, potatoes, broccoli, baby carrots, onions, garlic cloves, etc)
Carefully and strategically place bundle all mixed together and double wrapped on either exhaust manifold or block at lunch time. Eat at dinner time after a long drive. Allow at least 30 minutes for bundle to cool in the truck before opening to eat. Enjoy. Also note that in winter time depending on your vehicle you may need to triple wrap it and place it on exhaust if your engine is so equipped. Those who own diesel trucks will find several placement options before and after the turbo.
Road trip hack: just watch seth for the entire time and you wont get bored.
Hey Seth, You can pinch a towel or sheet in the car windows for full 360 privacy!
THE LAST ONE IS ABSOLUTELY GENIUS!
Berm Peak is just the most useful tips of my life.
Thx Seth 👍
i love your videos Seth, you should make one with hacks of how to make looking more pro a budget bike. Greetings from Argentina
You will look like a pro on every bike if you're skilled
Im talking about the bike looking.
Take the dork disc off and remove all reflectors and that kind of crap and make sure your tires are lined up with your valves and put on a sick marsh guard.
asi que hay mas gente de argentina que conoce este canal jajaja
+Franco Sanchez youtube esta disponible para todo el mundo.
0:55 Sorry to break this to you, but I think you're vastly overestimating us
Back in the early 90’s I used to make a lot of small burritos, wrap them in foil, freeze them & when I went on a surf day trip, I took the wrapped burrito & put it on my engine - worked like a charm. Later I made a very small rack & mounted it on my manifold & that made a great oven. It’s all pretty easy to do.
very very useful tips man... thanks for sharing...
See? Even Jesus takes a dump!
Haters will say its fake.
Holy shit!

All hail Baby Wipes.
That Engine Block Grilled Cheese hack is brilliant! Awesome video, as always, Seth!
Seth you made the MTBR scroll today. Way to go!!!
Top Gear!hack
It's better to place the grill cheese on the exhaust manifold.
I could watch this for ever !
+1 on the road tripping/camping bin. When the trip is over, just replenish everything and store the bin, ready to go for the next trip. No forgetting things or fumbling around the house trying to find everything.
maybe you should of labeled the doodie bucket the "Single Track Sampler" 😁
Who else is sitting on the toillete while watching this?

Me neither 😂 jk
Me hahahah
Not me. I use a bucket.
Love your videos, you always have cool ideas
So cool to see someone mountain biking from my home state!
EARLY SQUAD!
After this video, I'm sure i'll be running into a lot more mountain bikers using a doodie buckets near the trail head. :/
better than dookin' it on the trail ;-)
*yes, i've seen this, too.*
Last one is so nostalgic! Like the trucks used to have special mounts for metal food boxes!
I don’t own a mtn bike or anything but I love this channel
why all of bike riders buy maxxis minion tire

For a comfortable night of rest, I baught this really cool mat that fits anywhere, just hold the seats, hool the anchors according to the instructions and I have a Queen size bed at my disposal. Along with some blankets, thin air mattess and pillows and I'm in a mobile hotel room. Or just do the van life and have a bike rack connected with the towing frame and it's really nice.
I love your tips please keep doing them
Maaan...your riding videos are really cool! I love them. You inspire me to go out, ride, film and cut the videos together afterwards to upload it on my channel. Really inspiring and helpful. Keep the good work up. :)
I ride bmx but love these videos. Keep it up man
