Imagine being naomi.. the choice of saving herself and closing the door but it cuts your wife in half.. and you are stuck in the room with half her dead body staring at you for 30 minutes..
Desperation to survive or keep yourself/your family secure will definitely drive people to do terribly drastic shit, and having an unhealthy mindset makes it too easy to make unhealthy decisions regarding that. Danny is the one who faces that desperation, but Danny and Amy both suffer from their respective unhealthy mindsets - THAT'S the only reason things could have spiraled to this point. I wish people talked more about the psychology of these individual characters, the writing backs it up really well! Instead we get stuck comparing who done worse in each episode 😭
The amber alert thing was the funniest shit. Hope we see Isaac again if there's season 2 cos I feel he has so much more beef with the Cho bros and Amy
@@hakone1841 I thought Isaac was pretty funny but he is a piece of shit, like actually the worse of them all.
Danny and Amy have their obsessions spiral them and destroy them but there's plenty of scenes of levity and genuineness that are there for them. Isaac just literally being a criminal and wrapping people into his schemes.
Also the unpopular opinion: I don't think there should be a season 2. It'll cheapen everything about this season.

I'm not entirely sure about Isaac's problems with the Filipinos, but based on other Korean shows running the same trope, it must have been related to casino-incurred debts. Usually, someone incurs debts, and when unable to pay back, the Filipinos usually send someone to take out the offender. That's the trope anyway, can't say if it happens IRL.
It's a bit different, I think you're referencing things like Squid Game or other Korean shows not based in America. That's about gangsters from Korea and the Philippines, here is more local SoCal Asian-American gangs.
i trust me it happens. i use to work at the farms. i stopped cause some people had money debt with each other, and people really do send hitmans. it was hard for me to grasp considering i was just a labor worker. and in issacs case in the show it reminded me of someone i knew. i heard a story that a dude killed his best frieend cause of money debt, then the family of thee victim sent a hitman to take him out.

If I'm being honest in my opinion Issac deserves what happened to him because of whatever he did before got Danny and Paul caught up with the police they just didn't go to jail Issac did but literally ever thing that happened when Issac got out of jail is his fault Danny was gonna give Amy's kid back and leave also on that note fuck George he's literally the person that put Junie in Danny's car and then had the nerve to be mad at Amy and he let Danny in the house instead of waiting for the cops to come to his house
Junie being in Danny's truck is a callback to him telling her that he'll give her more Skittles if she behaves and that he always keeps Skittles in his truck. You're meant to assume that she went into Danny's truck herself for the Skittles. Everything else you said about George Issac is correct; everyone involved is to blame in some capacity.

I only say it's an assumption because we don't technically see where George put June, but I just don't understand why he would make that mistake, and it makes more sense writing-wise for that to have just been a callback to Danny giving her permission to get Skittles from his truck any time (albeit not literally), especially considering the fact she was actually eating the Skittles. Like, that's the joke.
