❗TYPO in Question 40!❗
What I meant to say was that you can recognise ∫ x^2cosx/(1+e^x) (from -pi/2 to pi/2) = ∫ x^2cosx/(1+e^-x) (from -pi/2 to pi/2) and so 2I = ∫ x^2cosx/(1+e^x) + x^2cosx/(1+e^-x) (from -pi/2 to pi/2) = ∫ x^2cosx (from -pi/2 to pi/2) and the rest follows from there :)

Just spent 10mins doubting life before I scrolled down and saw this lol
i just can't seem to be able to wrap my head around why those two functions are equal. help please. i plugged it in desmos and the two sides don't really seem that equal.
edit: got it, i failed to see that the property ∫f(x)dx {from a to b} = ∫f(a+b-x)dx {from a to b} was used.
great vid cheers.
@@XinWF Same here haha
I am preparing for JEE ADVANCE I will just suugest to pick more harder questions next time as the questions u picked are relatively easy for me.
The thing to note is that this is an exam for 17 or 18 year olds who are just out of high school.
i mean it's not that tough as people try to make it sound. people around the world study for olympiad as well around the age of 16/17 so it's not hard if you specifically prepare for jee advance. i have seen that most jee advance questions are either inspired by or copied from olympiad, mit and aime
@@ProGamer-ru2gdnow consider the time limit lmao
@@balern4 i think time limit exist in any math competition. look at Integration bee where you have to solve harder intregals than jee advance in 3 minutes
@@ProGamer-ru2gd 2 mins per question for this level of questions for HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES is not comparable to the Integration Bee
@@ProGamer-ru2gd what is your jee advanced rank
Points to be noted :
1. The exam is for highschoolers
2. Students need to complete a course of classical mechanics, extreme basics of quantum mechanics, fluid dynamics, calculus, functions, 3D geometry, electrochemistry, organic chemistry, and many more topics in 2 years.
3. No calculator is allowed.
4. On average you get 2 minutes per question (Physics and Chemistry included). Although you can manage the time as it's not necessary to solve all questions.
Edit :
5. From mains only 30% of 900,000 get qualified (in some years applicants reach upto 1200,000+). And out of those 30% only 10% are selected after advanced.
6. Students also need to study additional subjects like language and electives for school exams.
Pros : students who are selected for the institutes have quite a level of knowledge
Cons : High school life is immensely stressful
Point 1&2 ... its not llimited to 2 years only, those who clear the exam start prepration from 9th standard so minimum 4 years time and that too just on three subjects physics, chemistry and maths.... Point 3... Calculator is not needed anyways as there is no calculation....Point 4... Biggest mistake students make is trying to attempt as many as fast as possible, the best results come when the number of wrong answers are minimum.
@@polaris1985 Actually no. Those are some people who take extra classes to make advanced preparations before 11th. But people like us start from 11th (The course in schools actually starts from 11th). Also by highschoolers I mean to say that they have not started any UG programme yet.
Secondly, yes there is no numericals in calculus, but we do need numericals in physics and physical chemistry (mainly operations with 4-5 digit numbers)
Third, the reason people try to solve maximum questions is because the top 100-150 people always score 210+ out of 360 (maximum marks vary depending on the year). So if you want to be selected you must try not to skip more than 20 questions. Yes they do end up doing mistakes in the end, but it is the pressure that makes them do that.
Fyi on average more than 250,000 apply for advanced and only 25,000 get selected. In case of JEE mains, applicants are more than 900,000 (this year it is 1200,000+) and again only about 270,000 are qualified for admission in quality institutes or proceeding for JEE advanced for IIT.
So you know the competition....
Edit : Plus, yes it is only PCM for JEE. But you also need to study additional subjects like two languages and an elective because you need to give school exams as well.
@@AbsWrld885and bro 2min per question really 😂 , we don't need to do 100 percent paper...

@@DeltaDecay-mu2qj It's 6 hours for two papers. For one paper it is 3 hours.

I cleared JEE Mains back in 2004 and graduated from IIT Madras, it has been almost 20 years since I cleared JEE and now I can’t solve a single problem from this paper now (have the logic but don’t remember formulas to solve them). I didn’t realize how hard it was back then. Kudos to all the youngsters who even dare to give it an attempt at JEE.
I'm a comparatively recent graduate (2020) and didn't go to an IIT or comparable. But I do remember the grind my friends did. Just looking at the syllabus and the type of questions in a typical JEE advanced exam, it made me appreciate those aspirants so much more, again. I too forgot how incredibly hard the questions used to be, and the amount of critical thinking it required that was such an innate skill needed to clear.
Have logic then no need of formulae... Just do derive them witin solving problem
Bro back then there was no jee main. IIT used to conduct his own exam. And for others it was AIEEE. And for medical it was AIPMT
@@ranitrussel3330 yes, not sure how it is set up now, but back then IIT had its own entrance exam JEE, which had two parts: screening and mains. You can appear in Mains only if you clear screening - as the name suggests. Yes, there was a separate exam called AIEEE (this was for NITs I think). How is it now?
AIEEE has been replaced by JEE mains, and the JEE mains you are referring to is now JEE advanced.

For 16-17 year old studying in Class 11 and 12 with the time limit pressure it's hell of a tough nut to crack.
Specially when it's an elimination exam because ONLY 0.7% of 1.3mn students sitting for IIT exams actually manage to get a coveted seat in any of the IITs.

She is not giving an assessment of how tough it is to get into IIT from a zillion candidates jostling in a third world country, she is solving questions on its merit and commenting purely from a mathematical complexity point of view.. so pls hold your fragile egos be and let this genius show you maths can be fun .. (everything is not about competing and getting admission somewhere). This is exactly the reason why India sucks in research
@@montygenesisAnd in all the big institutes around the world you find Indians leading the Research centre. You have too much ego which may harm you one day. Respect everyone as one day everyone has to leave this world. You may be lucky to born somewhere which may not be the same in your next birth.
@@iotdeveloper I was born and raised in India and I still am an Indian.. though I don’t live in India anymore, also I don’t have an ego either.. not ashamed to call out what is wrong in our mindset.. that’s the only way we can improve ourselves. While you wrote all that, you yourself know in your heart how behind we are compared to the best in the world in terms of research and innovation.. but your false pride will not let you admit it. This is what we are missing collectively as people and country. Admitting one’s shortcomings is not a sign of weakness!
@@montygenesis Partially you are correct and that was because of previous govt who didnt gave any importance to research. Current Govt Make In India initiative has changed a lot in India. Lots of innovations are taking place in India and India now is growing at fast pace. When entire world economy was slowing down Indian economy was rising. You just see how everything changes for good in coming years in India.
No we don't get any formula sheet or anything and on top of that, trigonometric relations are one of the easier things to remember for the JEE, co-ordinate geometry, inorganic chemistry and all and a hell lot of formulas in other parts..trig just takes 5 minutes to revise by the end of jee prep and the total time for revision by the end is about 50 hours so basically trig is really not much when compared to other portions..
My experience is that the problems, specially physics and to some extent mathematics aren't difficult per se, but most of them require a bit of creative thinking to eliminate many longer and nasty steps, which will eat your time in a time constrained exam.
The pressure of ticking clock and over a million competitors for a handful thousands of seats makes you take all kinds of stress and blocks your creativity and clear thinking, which, in my opinion is the actual challenge.
Just take higher level physics and math and you’ll get to a point where it is difficult, guaranteed :)

Actually the first question can be solved in another and easier to think way that we can just split P = B + I as all the diagonals are 1 of P... now as B would be a matrix with trace(B)=0 hence we can think of nilpotent matrices as they also have their trace = 0... so if we do B^3 then we can see that it is a null matrix.... Now P^50 = (B+I)^50...Now as Identity matrix is commutative with all comparable matrices hence we can apply Binomial expansion in (B+I)^50... as B^3=0 hence we would only need to calculate till B^3 and rest all terms would get zero as if B^3=0 then B^4=B^5=B^6=.......=0... hence we can find P^50 in such a way too... btw very infomative vid...

I am trying to say that there are some specific top rank deciding questions that according to to the official data released by the conducting IIT , only 1 or 2 percent of candidates were able to attempt the question correctly under the immense exam pressure . These most tough questions are designed in a way that it must be skipped in the exam hall , otherwise it will consume your time and at last you will find that your answer even doesn't matches the options .
Note : Advanced level High School physics and chemistry is also there. For physics preparation we use IE IRODOV which is one of the most difficult high school physics book . And also societal pressure, peer pressure, fear of failure , very limited time in the exam hall (about 3-4 minutes for each question ) .... So all this contributes to the toughness of the paper .

It was amazing to see you have solved all the questions within just 45 mins. Congrats to you. JEE in India is a cut-throat competition to secure a seat in IIT's. Most students do not understand the logics or the deep explanations behind these problems. That is why IIT's has never produced any notable noble laurates or people who have gained significant prizes for their contribution in a particular streams such as the fields medal.

Kudos on solving this paper so easily. However, one of the tricks to solving this paper quickly is, especially MCQs, is to verify the result raher than actually solving it. For example in the coordinate geometry equation could have calculated the point P and the could have verified the equation of the plane that satisfies the point P and the straight line. Could have saved maybe 30 seconds?
The thing is that the examination is for school students and you have to solve one paper of an entire subject within *an hour*.
Came here seeing the caption. As some one who is product of IIT, I had looked at math major exam of (UPSC main) civil services a few decades ago. They used to be more difficult than that of JEE. They were so difficult that most engineers those days used to study humanities subjects such as anthropology to get through the dreaded UPSC exam. It was quite ironic.
Ofcourse they would be more difficult. They ask engineering maths and higher level in UPSC and not high school standard
because upsc is not for 17-18 years old student

@@vega_pretty having a hard exam doesn't mean anything. India is decades behind in innovation and technology. India doesn't produce technological & engineering patents in the likes of Japan, Germany, China and USA
@@sailingadventurer i know
most of the students don't crack jee because of their interest in engineering. its just that they want to graduate from a good college to get good packages in companies.
engineering stream in india doesnt limit you to only engineering. you can change your path anytime after you graduate from iit. moreover iit tag makes it easier for a person to excel in his future career. i am aiming for jee myself because i want to become a lawyer, not an engineer.
I gave this exam in 2016, I don’t even know how I got through the physics paper although it was my strongest subject. Passed the exam though so kudos to that :)
Only outstanding and motivated students will get through these exams.
Hey Ellie. Could you recommend a book on measure based probability? I want something which is a bit gentler, but introduces the main concepts without assuming too much of the reader. I’ve taken a real analysis course already so I know some basic concepts already, but I find some “classic” texts that people mention are too dense. Let me know what you think.
I think this is not what you're looking for but the bright side of mathematics youtube channel has a fantastic course on measure theory.
If you watch that series, you might be able to attack some denser books.
scoring 50% marks is enough to get rank under 1000....this way, you can expect the difficulty of questions...especilly maths remains toughtest paper every year
No way Scoring 50% Marks for rank under 1000 is not longer true .. nowadays the paper level is decreasing and You need to score more marks in order to achieve good rank
@@AbhishekPal-dv2gvpaper lvl isn’t decreased much but lvl of preparation among students is hella increasing
@@profDHUMKETU yes it's one of the reason but see the old paper like 2015,2016,2019,2020 and then see 2024 paper ..you will see the difference
@@AbhishekPal-dv2gv ik mate I just gave this year paper , and yeah physics was tougher maths and chem was moderate , or I’ll say maths was somewhat easy to moderate
loved the video and subscribed as well.
would love if you could do teaching vids as well, as when i solved this paper my approaches were a tad bit lengthy. Unlike yourselves where creative thinking reduced it a to degree.
I love Your voice❤❤!!
BEST OPTION IS TO BE OBC SC ST AND EVERYTHING IS EASY 😂😂😂
This exam is for high school finished students, not for graduates like you
For those who don't know, the Indian students who appears for the exam are mostly between 17 to 19, you can't use calculator during the exam and you'll get only 2 or 3 minutes to solve every question.
well i would like to bring in your notice that indias most difficult mathematics problems are asked not only in advanced but in other papers such as UGB and UGA ....i m not sure which among the 2 asks fundamental questions but the other one surely has a eague..another exam is IOQM and its other stages...well it has to be the most difficult as qualifying all the stages of IOQM will land you tocompete in International Maths OLYMPIADS cya...btw loved seeing u solving questions
4:36 you don't get any formulae sheet in JEE Advanced paper.
but mam why you Don’t solved integer type questions ?. thats why you don’t gone From hard levels
Hey, love ur videos. Btw, would you like to try the Vietnamese College Entrance Examination in 2018? it was claimed to be significantly more difficult than other years. If you want to, I'd be willing to translate the questions into English and send you the PDF. love from Vietnam ❤
Most of the content includes: Polynomial Functions, 3D Geometry, Derivative & Antiderivative, Complex Numbers, Analyzing Graphs and some others.
Calculator is allowed btw and test spans 90 minutes
@@npan.JEE advanced is the toughest engineering entrance exam in the world. Nobody cares about some shitty Vietnam
Proud to be an iitian❤
