- This video is long, I know.. It will help newer players who want to get a glimpse at what I would do If I had to restart and play fresh.
It's not just about the step by step process involved with this video I offer a lot of reasoning as to why you'd do what I direct and how it would apply In game. One day I think Ill make a video that is similar but more to the point and have the reasoning and excess in a video you may of watched right before it. Maybe it will be a series similar to new player guide playlist, but instead I outline what I need then give you the strategy without the excess information.
This video is kind of a mix of all that.

Solid intro to the game and guide with general thought process. Many more would stay if they knew the game would be a challenge moving forward with regards to MU and trading items in EU. Thx for the tips. Hope to see more of these. GL
Managing expectations one video at a time ;) thanks duud
Thanks for another great video, A couple of things I wanted to highlight for newer players the missions are definitely important in this game but there are also a lot of missions that aren't worth doing. The galactica mission that you mentioned for example probably isn't worth doing because you can buy the chip on the AH for less than the TT value of the turn ins, but there are also a lot of great missions that make breaking even or skilling up so much easier. Calypso has a lot of great 1 time missions for new players that will make it easy to play free for the first little while, but once those are done most of the other planets have more sustainable daily missions.
The second point I wanted to bring up is the diversifying and crafting your own things, Like real life this game is set up so that the occasional visitor typically can't compete with the well oiled machine so on average (lucky streaks can and do happen) without heavy investment it typically isn't worth it to craft some of your own things (typically things crafted from unlimited blueprints). This is because even if you have the skills required to craft it, without the 100qr blueprint your crafting costs will typically be more than the cost of just buying the item. Unless you value the loot you gather at TT (which would be a mistake), the crafters who are focused on crafting certain things can typically acquire materials cheaper and have higher success rates when crafting.
But this was a really great video with lots of good information for new comers.
^^ good summary duud
A little thing many don't realize.
It's very similar to Swunting. I call it Swaming. I actually don't, but sounded funny so I said it.
Take something like the L1 Bristlehog Pup. You sweat it, for 20 Sweat. At 1.4P/K, a pretty low but will move price for Sweat, that is 0.028 PED per Pup. Then you take your Whip and Tame. Depending on Luck and Taming Skill, this will take about 0.07 to 0.10 PED of Decay off your Whip per Pup. Well, you've got 0.028 PED of Sweat off it... now you get Shrapnel. I've gotten 0.10 PED Shrap off a Tame, which more than covers the Tame. But sometimes you get 0.01 and 0.02, obviously. BUT THEN you take that Pup, which you likely won't be able to Sell, and you go to a Stable and you murderize it into another item that REAL Tamers use... because we aren't REAL Tamers, we're just pond scum trying to eek and PED out we can.
It's as close to Real Profit at a 100% Rate as you can get. The better the deal you get on your Whip the better your returns over that time. And the better your Sell Price on your Sweat, the better as well.
Animal Essence Extract is what you get from the Pet Center Manager (what I called Stables). You get 1 to 3 Containers of Essence, with the possibility of a Rare Variant. The regular is 0.01 PED per... with a 145%-165% MU, while the Animal Essence Rare is 0.05 PED a Unit, and goes for some silly Mark Ups.
So lets take 50 Pups, that gives use an estimated 5 PED Cost to acquire by Taming (at 0.10 a Tame in Whip Decay, which may be slightly high). You got 1,000 Sweat, which we'll call 1.40 PED. On average you got 100 Animal Essence, so another 1.45 PED. That's 2.85 PED, meaning you need 2.15 PED of Shrapnel over that run to break even. If you get an Animal Essence Rare in that span, you're likely covered.
And this IS a thing where you can 'Hunt of 5 PED', a thing you should never do if actually Hunting, or even Swunting. If you're going to 5 PED Swunt... just Sweat, instead.
And the kicker for New Players that haven't already ran out and got Skills slicing, dicing and shooting things... leveling the Whip WILL slowly trickles skills into pretty much all the combat stuff. So, at a much slower rate... but a rate you can sustain because you're breaking even or making profit, doing this will improve your Evade and your Weapons Skills for when you ARE ready to go and Hunt.
hey! I am trying to replicate what you have done here. What armor are you using? I cant sweat a pup at all i just get demolished teh minute i try. I have tamed a few though
The Mentor can also get non-armor items such as a pistol. Mentor also doesn't get disciple armor they get the mentor edition armor which has a little bit higher resistances
one of the best things for new players to do is find a mentor. they will get starter armor. using a knife is best to build defense skills
Can you tell me where the oil daily is at or the NPC name?
Is it open world ?
F2P players don't exist. Sweating costs more than the price you pay to run your computer.
Also it's so time consumming, just imagine you want to travel to another planet. A ship is at least 30PED, plus oil 2PED, plus truster 7PED, plus 7PED to enter a planet
So let's say 45PED.
You get 1k bottles per 3 hours, you sell for 2PED if you're lucky.
So you're going to sweat for 67 hours just to be able to afford to travel to another planet...
Sounds like a fun challenge to me
It doesn't cost 7 PED to enter a planet, and in fact there are warp services you can travel the universe with free of charge.
yeah I am 7 months late but I think the f2p entropia crowd is the most delusional player base ever. Whenever I see someone sweating I just assume they have no idea how to add or subtract. If you want to be super cheap you can just treat it like a normal MMO and make a small depo of 15 bucks a month and make WAYYY more then someone sweating... Its so silly to me I feel really bad for those types of people who sweat all day.
