It makes me feel so much better as an adult (now non-dancer) to hear these great dancers also hate pirouettes. As a kid I wasnt good at them and felt like I couldn't be a great dancer because I hated them. But as an adult, my kid heart is happy to know even some great dancers hate doing them.
The young girl that didn’t like turns from grand plié in 5th make sure you put your heels down before you start the turn. I hated fouettés turns and fouettés jumps. 😊
I find it funny that pirouettes are probably the most recognizable ballet move and porbably the only one a lot of people can name and yet two people hate them
