One of the best overall sets of bosses in a modern game...and it's a sprite based, lower than Triple A costing indie game. There isn't a single bad boss in this game. My favourite was Squid Barron, the “filler boss”
My favorite lines in the beginning of the boss battles: _Ammo Baron: Beginning_ Ammo Baron: "That's right boys! Tear down that preschool and convert it into a long-range cannon! And that retirement center, another cannon!" Shantae: "Hold it right there Ammo Baron! No one weaponizes the elderly on my watch!"
The Pirate Master has one of the coolest designs of anything ever. Though I have to wonder... is that what happens when you obtain the One Piece? You turn into a giant demon skeleton pirate monster?
After this and Half-Genie Hero; I honestly have no idea where this series is going next. Will Shantae finally meet her Mother face to face? Are we going to get a definitive answer to the glaring absence of the character that is Shantae's father and Mimic's brother? Can Rottytops and her Brothers figure out the missing fragments of their past? I was hoping that Half-Genie Hero would give me answers, but all I got was more questions. Is there a way to for Shantae to utilize Light Magic shards and temporarily unlock the power of a Full Genie? Would it also be possible for Risky to use Dark Magic shards to gain magical abilities similar to Shantae's? What even are the horrifying evils that the Full Genies are fighting off to protect the mortal world from untold terrors and chaos? WHEN ARE WE EVEN GOING TO GET THE NEXT GAME IN THE SERIES? At this point, I'd like an answer to any of these questions. But I will compromize for Shantae in Smash Bros. 5.

Seven Sirens introduced Fusion, and seems like Fusion was created by the Sirens, but anyone, including Shantae, can use it with Fusion Stones. 7. If a Half-Genie fuses their power with another Half-Genie, it seems to fill their other human half, making what is called a "Super Genie". 8. Half-Genies have a wide variety of magic. What's seen so far is the power to shake the Earth and psychic ghost-seeing abilities. That's my take on the Shantae lore so far. But regardless, Shantae's mother was mentioned, but not seen in any form at all.
My review on the bosses in this game Ammo baron:a great way to start the game! Cyclops plant:an okay fight, teaching about the gun, the second phase was good too! Empress spider:my least favorite fight in the game, it uses the hat in the lamest way possible, it's also boring, wish there was more to it. Squid baron/squid baron 2.0:my favorite fight, an interesting fight that uses the sword, best fight for a filler boss. Dagron:the hardest fight in the game and it was fun, not as fun as squid baron, but still fun, I love that you have to use the boots to run into the wall knocking down stilagtights to hit the boss Steel maggot:the second best boss, the canon was used well to defeat him and for a ice boss, its really simple to defeat The pirate master:its okay, it's not a great fight, it feels like it ends too quickly, but it's a decent first phase Haven't played the second phase so until I do, don't ask about it

I can kinda agree. Honestly, the pirate's curse is the best shantae game for my opinion. I really like the others but i feel like all of them are all the same with their shape shifting animals powers and protagonist killing/saving the antagonist. The pirate curse has a unique story, new kinds of powers from risky which makes the game very different from others. Wish wayforward can use this strategy again for the future shantae games
@@teresarodriguez3661 Seven Sirens feels like it tries to return to Pirates Curse and Half Genie Hero and while it largely feels really good, there are some design issues that I felt were glaring. But overall a great game and I hope they improve on the same formula from here on out. (or look back at Pirates Curse to see exactly why it was damn near perfect)
I think Half Genie Hero was better because in Pirate’s Curse, we couldn’t use magical powers, but in Half Genie Hero, we can finally use them along with the dance transformations.

I feel retarded. I killed all non-final bosses without trouble AND powerups, but it took me ages and eventual web search to do the maggot, despite everyone calling it the easiest one.

It took me a longer than I care to admit figuring out the pattern for Steel Maggot (Patent Pending).
I think the Empress Spider was more creepier than lame (and not just because I’m arachnophobic).
