- I’ve played about 5 hours of Forbidden West, and can confirm the frame rate remains the same even in more open locations after the prologue area.
Horizon Forbidden West has finally arrived on PC (doesn't really feel like a long time since it's initial release on PS5) AND everyone is clambering to their handheld PC's to see how it works! If you're one of the few that are HOLDING OFF until further reports to see exactly which handheld PC to buy in order to play Horizon 2 the BEST. Its even better now with patch 1.2. Put it on dynamic resolution scaling target 30 fps with FSR 2.2. I don't know what Nixxes did but its witchcraft. It's crazy how good this looks!
The coolest part is you can get outfit mods for her when running the pc version on the Ally. I always feel like I get the game for free on my Ally because I already own the game for pc.
How can you run games at 18-25w like this? I cant even do it at 30w

why not leave the settings on low and not use fsr? fsr is trash at 1080p

What drivers are you running? Tried the same setting but get between 25-30 all the time... or the game straight up crashes
This video is totally bait, if you watch his framerate counter in this video, it never goes above 33 once, and it’s stuttery and all over the place. This game is veryyy heavy on the Ally. I put a lot of time into it at 900P Low, no fsr, no dynamic res. And was able to hold 30 some of the time, but every cutscene jerked up and down, camera cuts caused huge lurches, and the farther into the game you get the worse it gets. This game totally isint ROG Ally ready… yet. Hopefully with some optimization we can get a good playable version down the road but for now it’s very shaky
Yeh I use 720p fsr dynamic res capped to lows of 30 and get 30-50 fps on mostly low settings.. I have put the water quality to high and set my vram to auto. Textures medium and it’s nice to play. Out doors is 30-35 fps and in doors can range from 35 to as high as 50fps
@@danquaza9275 The developers wrote they made the "very low" settings just for PC handhelds in mind aiming for 720p at 30 fps. Some are wanting more out of these handhelds than they are capable to run. It's like the Switch , you can get these demanding games to run but you are going to make sacrifices and will not run "excellent" on them like a desktop would.
IF you want to run a demanding game "excellent" on these PC handhelds then remote play is the way to go but you can do this on a $300 Logitech G-Cloud as well.

compared to what? in what way? Nintendo have never needed to maintain modern powerhouse computing standards to sell consoles. Have I played my Switch since getting an Ally last year? Nah.... but the Switch is, and has been a solid console for gamers who love Nintendo games
