Hi guys, in this video, we answer pertinent questions on dealing with the SQE 1&2 that is basically how you can become a lawyer in UK. Feel free to leave all your other questions in the comments and we’d be happy to point you in the right direction. If this helped, please share with someone who needs it. Here’s the link to the first part: ruclips.net/video/H_0BJtm9Owk/видео.htmlsi=4s9wYv5uat6UGhn0 The other important links are in the description.
Hauwa is a brilliant person. I went to the same law school with her back in Nigeria. I am not surprised she passed this in one sitting. Looking forward to connecting with her.
For someone who has not been in the uk or have a Uk Visa, and I do not know if the speaker had or is a frequent visitor to the UK, I’ll like to know what her experience was travelling and acquiring visa, or she did all these whilst studying for her masters.. generally just asking about the visa process for the whole thing, sorry 😅
Hello @@boluajifolokun7461 . She processed the requalification after her Masters program. The visa process was the same as ant student visa application process and all that follows. I hope this helps
Hi, I have applied to a good university for my llb but I have learned university ranking is very important for some role. Is there anyway I can make sure to increase attraction on my CV ? Maybe completing courses from University of London or university of Law ? Thanks
Hello. Honestly, I don’t think it necessarily matters. Perhaps, there’s a possibility that some universities like those in the Russell Group may get access to some information on recruitment and all. This however does not remove the need for each candidate to prove themselves. No good employer will turn down a good candidate because they didn’t attend a particular institution. If you desire to take additional qualifications to boost your chances, please do. But no matter the qualifications or institutions involved, you still have to prove yourself as a good candidate in the recruitment process. Focus on what values you can offer and work on acing your interviews and applications. This will definitely boost your chances of securing a good role. Also, work on tweaking your CVs to meet the specific role and organization not just using a generic CV for all applications. It might take some extra effort but it definitely pays off. I hope this helps.
The SQE 2 is just a qualifying exam and like most qualification exams, you obtain a certification without more. It’s entirely up to you to put the qualification to good use. I am not sure I quite understand your second question. Having a Masters in Law does not, on its own, exempt you from the exams.
