    As someone who loves learning other languages for fun, but also speak one of these languages, I gonna be a nerdge here.🤓 Both languages share the same pronunciation here.
    ~in Tagalog COLLOQUIAL
    Sayang = "a waste"
    ________________________________________________
    ~ in Bahasa(Indonesian/Malay) COLLOQUIAL & LITERAL DEFINITION
    Sayang = "a waste" COLLOQUIAL
    Sayang = "love" LITERAL DEFINITION thus, is also used as a term of endearment similar to "my love/darling/honey"

    (basically in Eng it means"Do you love me? I do loooooveee you" (alot))
    it's a play of word in Bahasa
