Ware Disposal currently serves those areas under contract with the LA County Public Works Department. Both of those areas are part of that same franchise. Should either of those areas be annexed into the actual City of Whittier or other surrounding cities, they would likely change to whoever picks up the city contracts.

So does the city not service anywhere anymore? It's all Athens and Republic now?
Nope, All Athens on the western half and Republic on the eastern half, since July 1, 2016.
