Hans, many thanks for this second video about The One! I spent two weeks in this tent trekking in Madeira during summer and - as I expected - had some condensation issue only during the coldest nights.. otherwise everything was fine. It is a sturdy, ultra-light tent that is worth every penny. Enjoy it!
I destroyed a £500 vaude in the wind, the fact is there isn’t just ‘one ‘ tent that does it all and ticks every box . No camping next year as I have other plans but maybe the following year . And hopefully a new tent . Sweden is somewhere I’d love to explore
Hi Hans and Karen! It’s been awhile….so I hope both of you are doing well. I just wanted to wish you both a very Merry Christmas and much happiness in the new year. I know these days are quite unsettled so stay safe and warm and happy. I am Looking forward to more of your great videos and want to thank you for all of them you’ve created. It’s great that you let us follow along with you into the back country of many great places. I will never forget the trip you took where you setup your tent near the edge of a cliff and you Hans made sure with your camera shot to let us know just how scary that cliff was…hahaha. All the best and Cheers! - Rod …. In Northern California
Hans, I'm stunned at how great your videos are. Excellent sense of humor and narrative vision. What do you think of the MSR Advanced PRO for more robust weather conditions?
Hi Vlad - thanks for the kind words - I think, the MSR, it is a much better tent. The idea about The One is that it is light weight and is good for long hikes in nice weather.
How does it hold up in a downpour? I'm trying to decide between the big agness tigerwall ul1 and this one. They are very different so it's hard to decide. This one is so much lighter but I'm used to a freestanding double wall tent...
Love your style here - anyone else notice the ultralighter half toothbrush which is revealed to be two? I also have the one and have noticed the condensation issue but trying to decide if it’s worth it as I live I Florida.
Hi Hans, I really enjoy your clips and reviews, thx for the great content. I'm planning a throughhike of the MassIV Ruta in Norway this summer, starting in late July. The trail covers 350 km through 4 national parks in Norway, maybe you have heard of it. So far I used my SMD Gatewood Cape with an 3 FUL inner for my ultralight hikes. The size of the Gatewood Cape was really annoying, being too small in rainy conditions, so I'm looking for an alternative. Would you consider "The One" a good option for Norway in summer? It is supposed to be quite rainy, but I'm not expecting it to be stormy. Any recommendations? Thx!
Hi Sören - thanks very much…. I don’t know that trail, but it’s definitely a great hike. I am going to Femundsmarka national park in Norway. I am bringing the X-Mid 2 solid… The One is not a tent for strong winds and the material is sagging in the rain
@@hanskirk-hiking9697 thank you for the recommendation, I was lucky and got an X-Mid 1 solid 2nd hand yesterday, that should work in the conditions. (Somehow I wrote this comment several times but it always got erased, no idea why, last try, ...)
Hi Hans, very enjoyable content and you made me laugh with your SOH..(No strong winds. no snow ).... Get the chillies out. I bring them too....Some great camping locations. It is my understanding the Gossamer gear sent you a replacement free of charge after your last fun in the wind?? ATB Tom
Have you considered trying an xmid? I see them as the major competition for the price and durability while having more room and a little more weight but less condensation and the strength of 20d

Hi Matteo thanks very much - glad you also like the tent, condensation is just something you have to manage 😊🏕
Glad to have found your channel. I look forwards to following your journey and reviews.

As always another great video! You extra humor is great as well 😂
Hi Erik - thanks very much 🤣
Great video Hans. Thank you for sharing. And awesome tent.

Great video. I still haven’t found a better tent for cost, packability, interior volume and footprint size.
Hi Wolf 🐶 thanks - you are right, you get something for your money 💰🙂

Hi Nerdrin the One is nice because of its low weight - the Big Agnes is a more comfortable tent ⛺️
No problem with rain 🌧
Great videos Hans! Appreciate the effort you put in to making content.
Hello Eyzonme thanks very much

Hi Tellez thanks a lot… the toothbrush 🪥 is for a child ha ha 😂
The One is great because of the low weight 😊
With big interest I am watching your adventure.
Best regards from Ukraine!
Hi Oner - nice.... and much apprised - stay safe 😊
@@hanskirk-hiking9697 I will try!)
This is beautiful Hans, where in Sweden did you film this?
Hi Duderson - thanks very much…. it’s called Sevedeleden near Vimmersby 🇸🇪

Hi Sören great with the X-Mid
I don’t know what’s happening with the comments - sometimes it doesn’t work 🫢
Herligt at du har fået en lille efternøler, fint med at kombinere det muntre med en seriøs anmeldelse .....
Tak Lars…. Det behøver jo ikke være kedeligt vel 🤣

Hi Tom glad you like my humor ha ha - I got a new tent ⛺️- no questions ask - great customer service
Hello, my friend.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing it.
Have a happy weekend. 👍🏼
Hello Country Bow-wow, thanks very much- stay safe and have a nice weekend 🤗

Hi Eric - I would love to get the Xmid - it’s not available 🥲
Great review
Thanks so very much
Sp would you recommend the one? My concern is I'm 192cm and not sure I'd fit 🤷🏼♂️
Hi Novice No bad idea 👎🏻 you can get the Copper Spur in a extended version 💁🏼♀️
@Hans Kirk - Hiking thanks. I'm leaning toward the x mid to be honest. Not as light in non dcf but similar price and loads more space. 👍
Excellent idea I am waiting for my X Mid Solid 2 person version ⛺️
Smart little light tent. 🤙. And another nice video with lots of funny comments and effects. 🤣😂❤️
Thanks Connie hope you had a nice birthday 💜
not everyone is trekking pole tent kind of camper, the narrowed head room, condensation, stitching technique requirement...
Hi FuNg - yes you are right - it is because of the weight this tent is interesting 🤨
Maybe a “two” season tent…at best one season.
Hi Gary O yes you are right
The Tarptent Notch is a double wall 800 grams
Hi Ken - yes I should have chosen that tent
Hi Ken - thanks but I am done with one person tents need more space
@@hanskirk-hiking9697 if not for the weight, look at Jack wolf skin skyrocket 2.

Thanks so much 😊
Lol
at first
I thought omg some luck
another hiker around with a crying baby in the middle of wilderness .
Glad you like my humor 😂
lmao this video , here in california its a pretty ok tent
I guess it’s because of the California weather 😊
Ha ha you are funny
Thanks 😊
this is no review... bad bad... and the first time you didnt set it up properly anyway
It’s not a review - just a second chance 😀
