Karissa, thank you so much for being a good example of tourist coming to Indonesia (or everywhere else) by honoring the culture where you travel and properly introducing our foods and culture. We haven been bombarded by too many disrespectful tourists lately here in Indonesia 🙏🏻
@@anjalisubash7728 I think she was being honest. Not everything is going to get an 11.5/10. I’ve had Mr. Beast Burger, and she wasn’t far off with her review.
Rambutan is one of my favourite fruit. My father planted two rambutan trees in our backyard. Growing up, we never bought rambutan, we just picked it up from our backyard.
I love the way you review the food and how you eat them. Show some respects to the cultures you are visiting. Thank you for being a gem in Indonesia, warm regards xD
that tum i believe is made from meat, skin or/and pig blood mix together with coconut and balinese spice (we call it base). wrap it in banana leaves, tighten it w/small bamboo stick and steam it until all cooked through. there are different kind of tum, you can use just chicken, fish, or just vegetarian option from coconut (we call it tlengis). or sometimes unique one like w/bees or dragonfly (there are lots of dragonfly at rice field so my ancestor think that's good source of protein i guess 😅)
You should do Canadian indigenous food. To date I've yet to see a food RUclipsr do a video on our traditional food that you can only find on native reservations
@@alex.profi27 ??? There are literally 630 tribes in Canada, from the plains to the islands to the arctic, don’t make such a large and false assumption and everyone is obsessed with Japanese food, which is generally spice free. Plus I’m pretty sure modern day natives use seasoning…
@ntrlstar my rez has 8 restaurants and food trucks that serve traditional Mohawk food generally with a modern flare. There's only been a few reservations I've been to that didn't have anyone selling traditional food you just gotta look. As for reservations being out open to the public yes they absolutely are very few are stupid enough to discriminate when tourists mean money
rambutan, babe please tell me you spit out the pit. it's the closest thing I can get to lychees here in Florida and my daughter loves them.. talked her nana into buying them and she wouldn't let her eat them until dropping her off with me because she didn't realize my daughter knew how to peel and eat them on her own, it was hilarious but I was thankful cause I got some that way😅
I literally was scrolling comments to see if anyone else saw that?? Like did she eat it hole?? The pits look like almonds to me. But I don’t know what they taste like. But I was wondering if she eats them whole?? It really looked like it?!?
Lovely to see you try all of these Indonesian food in Bali 💕 But we have thousands more 😅 so please comeback and try to explore different places aswell because Indonesia is so big, different region has different culture and cuisine ✨
I honestly recommend you to try the desserts there, i went to Indonesia once and their desserts are sooo good. I’m not sure what the names are but i know i really loved one with a chewy, jelly/mochi like textured layer cakes, glutinous(?) rice balls and this shredded coconut crepe thing. Vague i know, but it was soooo good 🤤
I really like this channel and how jovial you are in the videos. The reviews seem honest, and the best part is that you are always so respectful of the cultures and willing to at least try the food. Prayers that the best is yet to come for you!
Is it hard going to Indonesia without speaking the language?? Where would you say was the hardest place you’ve ever been to communicate?! LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!
@@nehasharma8019 no some parts of indonesia majority doesnt know english. We don't expect everyone to know but if it's bali then yes most of them speak good english becuse of tourists
as an indonesian, at this point in time, if you go to only bali, you haven't gone to indonesia. bali has changed SO MUCH in the past decade with foreigners occupying the island and turning it into whatever they want. if you wanna experience indonesia, after bali you should go to jogjakarta, palembang, puncak, etc

Yeah but except for her honest reaction in beast Burger vid

Her voice is so nice, it’s really relaxing - and then I remembered she’s a singer, which makes sense 😂❤
i really like your honest and positive reviews! keep going queen 💗

I can confirm that Indonesians are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met

Where can we get that?
Why?!
Everyone is obssessed with seasoning,so by that logic native canadian food is VERY bland and boring

well reservations are not exactly just out in the open for the public, so i'd assume it's hard to find a restaurant that serves that.
