    Some facts to the band:
The band leader and songwriter Markus "Herbst" Siegenhort processed his Dissociation disorder (Derealization) in the texts of .neon and Agape. The band name also goes back to this disorder.
Stéphane "Neige" Paut was the singer on .neon and Agape. He came into the project, because he was the first person Herbst ever met that also experienced a derealization. They had a mutual understanding of each other, so they made music together.
The last two albums Melting Sun and Wildhund went more into the Post-Rock direction. The complete concept of the band changed, since Herbst ovecame his disorder.

Lantlos's latest albums (and even this first album, though perhaps less) reminded me of the band Isis, which I love, it's one of my favorites. I really like the post-metal scene in general.

Apparently the new record company does allow it, it is the old one that's problematic, so as long as they concentrate on the latest releases they should be alright. Or at least that's what I've heard, I have no idea if it's true, but I am pretty sure that generally Nuclear Blast does not seem to be as jumpy as Prophecy.

Small explanation about the word Minusmensch from a native german speaker:
there are various definitions of a Minusmensch. For example: A person with an overall negative character and no one wants to be around them.
A different one: a person that has such a bad vibe that it draws energy from the surrounding persons. Resulting in trying to avoid these persons.

Adelaide is the marijuana capital of the world, we make Californians look like mormons. I've dealt with my addiction and now I'd like to help others. I dont know of any marijuana treatment centres, we have methodone programs but weed is the biggest problem in Adelaide. Its a sad situation that makes me want to either move to the US or help somehow. Keep up the great work guys. Really glad to see that you're doing this; I've considered doing something similar focused on gaming, but have neither the time nor the production equipment (yet! I've got it on my list of things to try during my semester off before seminary.) In any case, I'm going to third the recommendation in these comments for Theocracy; I Am is a lyrical masterpiece, but if you're looking for something shorter, Paper Tiger is a favorite of mine (I'm Methodist, so I definitely subscribe to a Wesleyan image of the social gospel), and Master Storyteller is a quick apologetic with some catchy parts.

Thanks for the comment. Is “Negative Human” a figure of speech or literal? For some who Is not looking at life positively we would say “that’s a negative person”? Is it similar to that?

    • @lesegut
      @lesegut 5 лет назад

@@roberthoughton7127 it´s some kind of a figure of speech or better a paraphrased translation. 'Minusmensch' is at least pretty tough to translate literally. I've just tried to find a synonyme for it to give you an idea of what it can mean. So in my opinion your description is pretty close to what I understand from both title and lyrics. Resorting to drugs for instance is something people do when not looking at life positively.

May I suggest not only Sabaton but the title track to their last album : the last stand. It’s about the last stand of the Vatican guard in 1527.
Their ongoing theme is wars, battles, heroes. They also have started a crossover history channel tied to their music. Events covered include Roarkes drift, the Lost Battalion, the gates of Vienna, the battle of Wizna against the German army, the Warsaw uprising, and so on. Generally on the more hard rock side of power metal.

So many good suggestions, just make sure to not lose sight of judging the songs on musical abilities and then how it applies to the Christian life. So many people avoid or ignore how depression, suicide, and the multitude of addictions afflict us Christians every day. Don't let that get lost.

Julien Baker- Rejoice. It's an incredible song with an incredible vocalist. Her message is one I think you would respect. She found God and fought through a horrible addiction and you can really see it when she sings.

    Theocracy 'Mirror of Souls'.
If you have the time, it's is a lyrical masterpiece, it is long, 21 minutes but the story of the song id epic, it takes you on such a journey and the images the song tells is amazing. Would love love love to hear a reaction. You'd need a good half an hour for it though.

I reccomend the song Lay Your Ghosts To Rest by Between the Buried and Me.
It's 10 minutes and 2 seconds long and covers a lot of ground musically. It's heavy, quirky, melodic and uplifting. I highly recommend you guys listen to it.
BTBAM is a progressive metal band with amazing musicianship that I think you guys would appreciate.

Hey Pastor Bob! I don't know if this is a stretch, but would you ever do a reaction to Behemoth?

It would be awesome to get some biblical perspective on a Bad Religion song. I was thinking Kyoto Now from the Process of Belief.

You guys should react to something by Theocracy. "I Am" is considered to be one of their best. They are Christian prog/power metal.
Also The Burial would be a good band to react to. Very different sounding Christian band.
Regardless keep up the good work. God bless

Speaking of the scream like vocals, I'd like to introduce you to someone who does it even more brutally. Peste Noire - Dueil Angoisseus. This actually has Neige with some guest vocals in it as well.

The world is but a broken toy,
Its pleasures hollow false its joy,
    Unreal its loveliest hue,
    Alas!
    Its pains alone are true,
    Alas!
    Its pains alone are true.
