Do you know the cause of your emulsion problem? Was it something you did during processing or is it due to the condition of the oil you used...or something else? Thanks for the videos. They're a great help.
I'm thinking the recipe on extremebiodiesel (I think it was) uses too much KOH compared to calculating it manually. I'm going to do a small test batch the next time to see if that's the cause.
If you use sodium hydroxide instead of potassium hydroxide you need to pour off the glycerol the next day. If you wait a few days the glycerol will go solid. When you make soap from fats sodium hydroxide makes hard soap bars, potassium hydroxide makes liquid soap. You may be able to get the solid glycerol out of your processor by turning on bottom heat.
