I love your work, I’m a new painter just trying to learn the craft. I love trying to follow along with some of your pieces, although I find it tricky at times and I have to ask, do you let your paint dry quite frequently in between steps and it just doesn’t show it on the video? I’m genuinely curious because I was told acrylics do dry really fast so I figured following along with your video would be ample time but it seems a lot of the previous bottom (darker) layers tend to try and blend in with the top (lighter) layers that we apply to the picture, which doesn’t give nearly the same effect and pizazz as yours. I understand yes you’ve been doing this a while and I’m very much brand new, but I just want to hone my techniques and try to use what you great artists do in your tutorials. I just am curious as to knowing when to proceed to the next steps before ruining the painting by layering while wet, and also another question, how in the world do you get your paints to look so vibrant?!? I use very similar colors however they don’t seem nearly as eye catching. Very full counterparts at best.

A small tip, pull of the tape when the paint is wet so the paint doesn’t pull off, I’ve learned that from past mistakes -love a fellow artist 💜

Contact paper. Use a bowl to outline and then use an x-acto knife to cut it out
