Did exactly the same! Really liked the look of the exterior, premium finish modern interior and driving a FWD that feels sporty and nimble around the corners. I don't understand why people are so negative about this car..
The rear legroom is awful.

It feels very balanced to drive and the FWD actually gives a quite nice driving experience. It looks nice and feels more roomy inside. I think they could have done a bit more with the ambient lighting inside.

salut salut, bon quartier de Schuman on reconnu ;) 5:10 c'est où? :) sympas pour faire des balades! tu l'as essayé déjà dans la neige? du style aller en Autriche (sankt Anton, Ischgil, etc) au ski... ca ira? j'attends cette f40 118i comme comp.car...
La partie de 5:10 c'est loins de Bruxelles, c'est près de Namur. C'est pas ma voiture dans la video. Pour conduire dans la neige c'est mieux d'avoir des pneus d'hiver. Pour aller en Autriche c'est mieux d'avoir chaîne à neige, c'est même obligatoire là-bas je pense, je ne suis pas sûr.
Wait, I thought the parking assisstant works only if you set the signal and take your feet away from brake and keep pressed down the park button ? In your case you did not press anything, can you change this inside the settings ?

I reckon get the BMW as I’ve upgraded to a M140 2 years ago after having endless problems on my MK7 Golf. Since owning the BMW the only problem I’ve had is a flat tire. Plus the BMWs drive so much better. Just my 2 cents

What do you think about the car. It is less sporty than the F20? It sounds really quiet!
It feels very balanced to drive and the FWD actually gives a quite nice driving experience. Maybe it's a bit less sporty, but it still fun to drive

Any chance to see one of those without the full m package? I mean they are ugly even with it on it, and BMW it's trying hard to hide models without m package, but sooner or later they are going to appear...
Sr. D i’ve tested the new model whithout m-package and manual gearbox, standard instrumental cluster etc.... well..if i wouldn’t know it was a blw, i would have thought it was a skoda Fabia.. (not even joking)
Next week monday I will be driving a 118i Sportline with manual gearbox. I will upload a POV Test Drive. Stay in touch ; )

Mijn M135i Xdrive heb ik 7 jaar geleden 46000€ nieuw betaald.
Heb nu dezelfde configuratie gedaan op dit model met dezelfde opties en zit aan 60000€.
Voor een 4 cilinder....

Wagens in Belgie zijn waarschijnlijk goedkoper omdat ze hier op de Belgische wegen aan gort worden gereden 😂
ekim andersom yup en voor de wagens dat ik had (3 liters) schommelde dat rond de 2000€ eenmalig te betalen.
Die zouden ze hier beter geven van alles wat je kapot rijdt.

the lane keeping assist ad automatic pilot work really bad in highway, is not as good like automatic pilot on Tesla or Volvo
It's not a bad car.. it's gooing after the Mercedes a class. And for 80% of People they like this. As a petrolheads perspective i think it's time to buy a second older BMW for the fun times.. this is probably not even close.. it's closer to a golf than a older bimmer.. times are changing

Ordered the 118 m sport, test drive was great, interior is excellent really good car.
Colin Robinson auto or manual? I have an auto or route for mid March. My dealer were willing to give it as a cost free upgrade so it was a no brainer for me

Best cabin, biggest and In my opinion most agile (in auto) premium hatchback on the market. If you are going for a car in this class got to be this or the A-Class for me
N A a class has the cheapest built interior in the class, defo go for this or even the Audi although that’s a bit old now, still has much better quality all around.

I thought the same but they did have a traffic light. In some countrys you have both lights and crossing strippes because the lights go out at night. I think the bmw had a green light.
@@polarweis yeah e.g in austria every traffic light has the stripes. Foreigners are often confused by this and stop at a green light :D
At first I wasn't convinced about the exterior and the whole thing about it not being RWD. But when I saw one with a M kit on and then drove it for an hour I was completely convinced while sitting in the now up to date interior and bought one on the spot.
The previous model in my opinion really needed a fresher look on the in and outside with better safety features. To all the people who are saying that it's bad, ugly and looks like a golf or something else as bland (don't make me laugh), go see/drive one and then speak, you will be surprised!

Definitely agree here, seeing it in real life (especially the M135i model) completely changed my perception of the car. The previous generation really gave you the vibe of "okay, this is the 1 series and basically the entry model BMW" when it came to the design and quality of the interior.
The new one is HUGE step-up from the previous car and makes the car feel really premium in my opinion.

@@joshuaoverton3309 Hi, we went with the 118i M sport version because it's the best for commuting and I personally didn't feel the need for the M135i because I already own a motorcycle for fun in my spare time.
Not to say that the 118i wasn't fun to drive! :)
Delivery is estimated in january 2020 and we can't wait!

Steve Jovan Not really, it’s more than enough. Of course I’d like more power but cars here are kind of expensive, not only to buy but to run. I once went into a ford dealership in the US and even though I’m not a big fan of american cars I almost considered buying a mustang, which was arround 30k USD. Thats half the price you get here in europe which is insane. Gas is also a big inconvenient, arround $6,20 per gallon.
Ygrek 140 is more than enough for everyone, depending on the car of course.

116d. I have the f21 116d with the 2.0l. I’ll drive 30 km dayli and my fuel consumption is 5.2 Liter/100 km

This is a super responsive engine. So nimble and quick. Don’t be fooled by the FWD & also remember 3 cylinders = less turbo delay instant response.
No one outside of Europe wants these things. Especially not at BMW prices. This is for the European market where they pay over $10 a gallon of gas vs $3 in America.
@@miketheman4341 Honestly, BMW 1 is not targeting for US market. BMW America doesn't introduce this car actually. Main markets would be Euro + Australia and Japan.
I agree, it's an agile little engine that's fun to drive and cheap to run and maintain, which is especially good for the European market.

A- Hus Yes, I had the 218i Active Tourer and now the 218d Gran Tourer. The Diesel + Automatic is a great combination, but the price difference is laughable. With the 1er I would get the 118i.

Pretty bad I guess, I have the previous model since last june with 136hp and it’s always over 10l/100km.
I put the fuel consumption of my test drive at the very end of the video. It was 7,5l/100 km

In term of everyday comfort driving which one is the best to drive the new a3, a class or bmw? I heard bmw is too stiff and a class is bad quality and audi interior is messy. So which one is the best overall
Better sound isolation in the series than both a class and a3 actually. And 1 series are the better drive over all. Bmw have independent rear suspension on all models also. Sure the bmw are a bit stiffer than merc and audi.

It’s an intersection with traffic lights, where I just got a green light and the pedestrians have a red light. The light is right next to the pedestrians and also in front.

@ekim andersom Might be true for the models with small engines. But the customers who bought the powerful versions knew it was rwd. Im pretty sure.
