Love all the info. Thank you. I did want to mention that cold water does not close the cuticle of the hair. Water is a ph of around a 7 whether it’s hot or cold.
I used to think this as well until I took a several mater color classes. 🙏🏼

Thank you ❤ great call out. let me rephrase for the advanced stylists. Closing the cuticle is the job of the balanced ph conditioner. But I think we can all agree hot water fades color quicker vs cool water especially when it comes to vivids, porous hair, and extensions.

So, my 3 healthy human hair Weft extensions that i love are perfect water wave ( hard to find my wave! ) & length 22' that match my hair.. But they are super Strawberry/rusty with Blonde highlights.. I need to make them Lightest Ash Blonde.
Can i mix a tube of hair color( ion Lightest Ash Blonde ) with the Powder Bleach & Developer mixture? What does Direct Dye mean?
.. i already washed them with clarifying shampoo. Please Help ASAP 😩😩😩 sincerely, Kristi

Oh no! Sorry to hear this. Unfortunately I do not recommend bleaching hair extensions at all. They are already heavily processed and will provide further damage. I only recommend Demi color and it sounds like you want them lighter. 🫣

I want to dye my halo extensions from platinum blonde to black. I used to be platinum but i grew my natural hair color (black) out and i want my extenstions to match. Theyre still in great condition and were so expensive. Do you recommend i dye them orange or red to deposit some color before applying the black? Or is going straight with black an okay option? Im worried of it looking too blue black

You will most definitely need to fill the hair before applying black on top. Depending on the type of blonde you have will depend on the type of warmth you add

Im your opinion or personal preference, do you recommend using a creme demi or something more liquid or gel consistency like Shades EQ for a quick tone refresh on the blonde ends on a rooted weft that is just a quick move up appointment and not a complete install?
I'm torn between which consistency will give me a more even result and blend, particularly with having subtle different tones of blonde throughout the extensions

This is way late, and I’m not her, but in my experience (at home full platinum + other variations of highlights, color) if you are doing anything intricate, thicker bleach/dye is better. This is more concentrated and will stay on the area you put it on. If you use liquid, the color will run a bit easier.

Yes, you can still color your hair with extensions. As long as its deposit only color.
