Prog is far too limiting of a title for these guys and thank god for it.
Although Misha had such a major role in the creation of this band, I think it was great that they moved on without his assistance. Animals as Leaders became Animals as Leaders when Javier and Matt joined and started making music between themselves. This is a beautiful example of a direct connection with music and a perfect bond between musicians.

Plini's style is absolutely nothing like AAL's lol, the middle part in this was definitely inspired by Plini. He does the root note to chord riff with solo (with tremelo flutter) on top way more often than AAL does it.

Man i really sincerely think they should have misha produce every album from these guys. Every album without him is really lacking honestly, especially here, the chops are cool and all but the songs are all over the place and go nowhere. Misha brings so much equilibrium to the chaos that is tosin matt and javier, he can make otherwise a bunch of jumbled noise into really good coherent songs. Really hope they continue to have misha produce on future albums

They don't need misha and they proved that here. This is one of the best AAL albums. Even the production is fantastic. Feels a lot more real. It sounds like they're just jamming in a room.

Actually searched the term. Halo wikia shows up, which defines it as a sentience above our level of comprehension, beyond our limits, so to speak. Another sites as Urban Dictionary say things on a similar basis but taking it into pseudo-science. Probably a portmanteau summarizes that pretty well
