I feel like Joe making these videos is really helping him with his dancing. He’s picking up his mistakes and really understanding where the judges and Dianne are coming from with their comments about his dancing so he can apply it to his future dancing.
Lauren I think the reason they work so well together is because Joe co-operates with Dianne, he doesn’t question her choreography or take over anything and puts in the work and like you say, studies up on his mistakes and takes the steps needed to learn from them. And he obviously makes it enjoyable for Dianne too. Whereas it sounds like Danny John Jules did nothing but argue with his partner.

As a long time strictly fan who mainly uses RUclips for music I was expecting Joe to be another Scott Mills (crap, there for a paycheck and not even trying) til he got kicked off the show week 3 or 4 however he has been a revelation! He is so naturally warm and funny, is hilarious on It Takes Two, has a great work ethic and he just keeps getting stronger.... 100% a finalist!
Couldn't agre more. I have my pre drinks watching the show every Saturday with my Mum and Aunt's who are normally quite scathing off someone's credentials as a celeb if they don't know who they are and if you want to see the 4 middle aged women roll their eyes in unison, tell them someone's youtube famous. But fast forward a few weeks and they are all absolutely in love with him
