Hahahaha Mean!! You finally reacted to this! Alien Weaponry was huge in NZ. Mostly because they were trying to increase the popularity of Te ( Teh like Meh) Reo (Reh-Or) Maori with their music. I'm glad you liked it. I've been waiting for it.
Also we don't wear shoes, mostly gumboots and jandals haha

I would like to introduce you to three boys from New Zealand, Lewis De Jong (guitar/vocals), Henry De Jong (drums/vocals) & Ethan Trembath (bass/vocals) At the time this video was done Lewis & Ethan were 14 & Henry was 16. They have won so many awards, but their most prized achievement was playing at Wacken Open Air Festival. They achieved this goal when they played on the Wasteland Stage in 2018 (Henry was 18, Lewis & Ethan were 16). The reviews of that festival praised these 3 boys as one of the top acts to play that year & the best to ever play on the Wasteland stage. They formed the band when Lewis was 8 & Henry was 10 in 2010. I believe Ethan joined the band in 2012 when he was 12. I would suggest "Kai Tangata", They were 16 & 18 years old. I would also suggest "Hypocrite", the video is in english & shows how young they were when they did this song. Lewis & Ethan were 12 & Henry was 14. If you really enjoy this band, might I suggest that you take a look at some of the documentaries done about them, because of their youth, their talent & their use of the Maori language. You can find all their videos & documentaries on their RUclips channel. Thank you, for doing this video of this outstanding young band.

Their songs are mostly about hostorical events significant to Maori culture . This one is about a sneak attack on a British Army camp, using tunnels.
Ethan (the Bassist) left the band last year. The title of the song is pronounced "Roo-ana Tay Wen-ooaa".

No it isnt...It tells the story of Gate PA (Maori battle Fortress) and how the British thought they had crushed them after days of sustained bombing of the Maori earth works and attacked the PA only to find Maori had been hiding in under ground bomb shelters. They emerged and handed the British forces a defeat. teara.govt.nz/en/video/36925/the-attack-on-gate-pa

You should do 'ALIEN WEAPONRY - Kai Tangata (pronounced kai-tongue-ata) (Official Video)'. It is a mini historical movie and really well done. It was their first video after signing with Napalm. The two guitarists were around 16 and the drummer (who is the brother of the singer was 18). They started as 8-10 year olds. And have already played big festivals like Wacken in Germany. I saw them in concert in November, they are great live too.

Not all their songs are in Maori, but a good deal of them are. As for their ages, when this video came out they were around 16-19 years old or so.

Whats great is the subtitles you have so you have an indication of what the boys are on about. Historical events are what boys talk about. Take a look at the translations ....powerful cos you will see the struggle the maori have gone through and yes they are part maori.

They are still huge, kiwi girl here and Alien Weaponry are awesome...the language is Te Reo Maori which is the native language of the Maori here. Nice reaction guys! most songs are in Te Reo Maori but they do have some english ones aswell. Check out "Holding my breath" from them and "Blinded" aswell.
